I finally got hold of my fabric and spent most of the on my cloth diaper project. I was too excited that I let Donald check if the package has arrived from Davao so after dropping Ella to school, he went straight to LBC. He said their reason of not being able to deliver it yesterday is valid because their courier van goes straight to San Franscisco, a one hour drive past here, bringing all the packages that are supposed to be dropped here. I don’t get the point of wasting gas driving past here and bringing the packages back. Anyway, I am happy that I can continue making diapers for Emmanuel yet I really could not understand why I always get short with it when I have carefully measured the length that I needed putting a half meter allowance. It happened again! I am such a moron. :-( So instead of whining, I make use of the scraps again. Read more… »

Last night I said I am not going home yet, that I am not dragging my feet back home and that I really mean it. Forget it. After debating with myself, I gave in and packed our stuffs. Although I really wanted to stay for the weekend, I decided it is best to go home since I am not in the mood to commute. We were ready at 4am, waiting for a text message from Ate Gina. Donald changed Ella’s clothes while she’s sleeping while I do the final packing of stuffs. I already put everything in one corner and waited. After a few moments, Donald went to get a taxi and Cheche (still half-awake) ushered us out of the gate. We didn’t bother waking my sister Crislyn and BIL because like us, they were still up until past midnight because the neighbors at the side are so loud. They were drinking and talking about nonsense stuffs loudly that I wanted to throw a stone over their roof. After their “noise barrage” and before we could finally go to sleep, a neighbor at the back thought that the best time to chop woods is at 2am and so that is what he did. :-( Such crazy neighbors! Our day started early (or should I say it ended late yesterday?) because we are still wide awake at 3am. Donald couldn’t sleep so we chatted for a while and he decided to watch a James Bond movie in the laptop which he found so boring. I, on the other hand, tries to catch sleep by tossing and turning. Everything doesn’t seem to work so I just waited for my eyes to just close by itself which happened at nearly 5am. It was drizzling and gloomy the entire day. I wanted to go out and buy the fabric that I needed to sew a couple of receiving blankets but like thhe previous days, I don’t feel like going out. I plan to do it tomorrow morning but just tonight, we got a message that we will be leaving for Trento tomorrow at 4am. :-( Just when I already had in mind that we are still spending our 6th wedding anniversary on Sunday here in Davao. Day 5

So it’s five days and still counting. After today, there is no need to hurry going home since weekend is coming. I am not just worried about Ella’s school but of the chicken too. Unlike our previous trips, we decided not to leave them at the neighbor’s care because we thought we will just be away for a couple of days. I asked Donald to put enough food and water which he did. He said he put in there more than enough that’ll last for a week. I just hope those darn chicken didn’t ate it all in just one sitting because if they did, by now they are cursing Donald for not telling them they will be orphan for 5 days and maybe 6 or even a week. So I finally made it to the clinic this morning with purple toenails. That was an achievement to me (not on the purple nail polish) because even I already set my mind on getting up early, I still find it sooooo hard to do it. I did my nails last night and since Ella has been putting me into account each time she sees me painting my nails as to why I am still not wearing the purple nail polish she gave to me on my birthday, I decided it was time to show her that I am true to my words that I really love the darn color she picked. I should have cared less if it was a darker plum but it wasn’t and it looks as though they were candies on my feet. But anyway, I gave it a go and I am loving it now and the most important of all is that Ella was so happy about it. :-) Read more… »

On moving (again????)

I was looking forward for today to be such a busy day for me. I already sorted all the baby clothes and stuffs that needs to be washed and folded to be ready in case the baby will decide for an early appearance. I wasn’t expecting nor hoping for a premature delivery, but I just want to be ready. Like my sister and BIL who are moving this weekend, Donald and I are also playing some wild idea on moving back to my hometown when Ella’s classes ends. That will be this March and we are crossing our fingers that we can make it as early as possible before I gave birth which will be on the 1st week of April.  That’s just a plan, not yet final and so we are not disclosing this to Tatang and Inang or any other members of the church yet. Business as usual

I am not in my best mood today because I have not yet taken a bath and it’s already 6pm. :-( We woke up this morning with no power and since there’s no announcement regarding this 12-hour power interruption yesterday, we have not showered nor done the dishes. Read more… »

The coconut nut

Since I am feeling so grumpy every morning, Donald let me stay in bed when it’s time for Ella to prepare for school. Although I was already awake, staying in bed and not moving around much helped a lot. I heard them have their usual battle of the will from eating breakfast until Ella went in the room to kiss me goodbye. She wouldn’t forget to kiss me and hug me a couple of times before leaving which her Daddy find so funny because it’s like we won’t be able to see each other again. Read more… »

Beware: VERY LONG POST

I was hoping I could make this post as short as possible so as not to bore you all. The only thing that could make it possible would be to let pictures talk, so here goes my post about our 10 day vacation to Davao and Kabacan. ;-)

We left Trento at 11am last October 27. Donald was dreaming about boarding the King Long bus but we are not so lucky. Read more… »
