Not me but our laptop. Last Sunday we went to my sister’s apartment. It’s our new favorite place to go after the service because we can save a LOT. We usually spend our family day at the mall – eat and window shop – but we are always short of cash these past months and so we decided to bring the kids to their titas and tito. Thanks to the free lunch every Sunday!
Since I only have 3 hours of sleep, I crawled under the sheets and dozed off. Eman doesn’t want to sleep so I asked Cheche to look after him. This little guy found my big toe and bit it real hard that ended my deep slumber. Naughty little guy!
In the afternoon, Donald suggested to BIL to ride his new motorcycle to our place which is what happened. They rode the bike while me, Ate and the two kids packed inside a taxi cab. I know Donald put the laptop and the Tupperware in the front seat but I totally forgot about it. I got off the taxi with Eman on my arms, Ate followed and then Ella. I was inside the house when the driver called and opened the front door with the bag on his hand. My goodness! Until now I can’t believe that we almost lost it!!!! We can’t afford to get another one as of the moment. I was in shock that all I said was “Thank you so much Manong”. I forgot to ask his name or even gave him a small tip. but I got his plate number and body number though.
To the honest driver of Keisha Delight taxi with plate number LWR-716 and body number 2444, thank you so much! I will try to find a way to reward you the soonest time possible.
Anyway, wanting to get secured? Check wireless security systems. Got to go now. Little guy is wanting me again.

We just came home from my sister Crislyn’s place and glad the little guy has fallen asleep in the taxi. I was very careful not to wake him up while putting him down in his hammock so I can do a little blogging and blog hopping. It was already dark when we left here but it seems we were at my sister’s place for a long time. Donald and I were actually undecided if we should go out. Weather is not good and money is tight but he “ordered” for me to dress the kids at the last minute. We live up here in the mountain (well not really that remote as you think) and going downtown means spending a lot onĀ taxi fare so we agreed to ride a jeepney. One time Eman and I went to deliver Ms. Alex Hao’s order of cloth diapers. I had the camera with me and while we were inside the taxi, I attempted to take a photo of the jeepney’s thinking I might use it in my blog someday. That afternoon, traffic is nearly bad near the Ateneo de Davao Highschool Campus and you can’t believe I never had one single photo of that thing. What I am trying to impose is that they are really FAST and FURIOUS!
Here is a jeepney……. Read more… »

When Ella was three, there are still a lot of non-airconditioned taxi in Davao. We seldom ride airconditioned taxis since it is way too expensive. So when she went with my sister Crislyn and BIL (together with my sister’s PIL) to attend the christening of BIL’s nephew, she was beyond thrilled and exclaimed, “Wow!!!! Aircon!!!!”
She is just a big fan of AC’s. Now that the city government of Davao has not been renewing franchises of non-airocnditioned taxi units, I guess she is one of the happiest member of the riding public. She was even telling us over and over that when she is big, she will buy a car with an auto ac compressor that is as good as the blue taxi in Davao.
