Perfect 10
I was bitten by the lazy bug again. Ugh! I was occupied with so many stuffs in and out of the house that I was like counting the days that my blog hasn’t been updated. Though I posted a lay-out, it’s not it but as promised, I will write a somewhat decent post or if I am lucky - posts - about how our week went.
Last Saturday, Ella was bugging me to skip church. If you knew her, she is counting the days until Sunday and will get really disappointed if we can’t attend the service. It’s because she doesn’t want to miss a class in Sunday School so she can get a medal too on their Recognition and Promotional Ceremony next January. Two Sundays ago she showed us a paper. It’s the list of the things God has created with a long memory verse at the back and that was the reason of it all. She said she’s not prepared for the quiz. Gah! I have only made her agree to come with us to church after I told her to just do her best and if her best is not good enough then it is perfectly alright. Then I reminded her of the dress I made for her. She went back reading her notes over and over again until she fell asleep.
I stayed up until 3 in the morning sewing while Donald worked on the computer. I had 3 hours of sleep. It’s like I just dozed off, dreamed of buying a pink and brown Samsonite luggage for a vacation and then it’s time to be getting ready to church. Ella was so happy to wear the dress and was even happier that she got a perfect score of 10 on their quiz.
She made us so proud!!!!!!
Happy Mother’s day!
Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful moms in the world!
Thank you to my cousins, nephew and friends who greeted me today. Sorry guys I haven’t sent a reply because our cellphone has no minutes but I will see if I can send Donald to the store to load some minutes.
Halo-halo Espesyal
I had a very bad leg cramps that woke me up early in the morning. I can’t move my right leg and my gastrocnemius was like being twisted very very tightly. That was the second time I had it and the pain is still there each time I move my leg. I could tolerate the cramps on my feet but not on my legs.
The pain is really bad and all I could do is moan. I could not get myself to wake up Donald to help me. I was able to go back to sleep after what it seems like eternity of agonizing pain. I am just so thankful my muscles relaxed and the pain went away.
When I woke up, Ella was holding a denim dress and said she will go to the chapel ahead of me. I slowly made myself get out of bed because she hasn’t showered yet. Donald just came from the bathroom and made me a cup of hot coffee (not that strong….I know it is bad for me but let me have it just for today) and then he fixed a bowl of cereals for Ella. I have 11 kids in my class today and all looking forward for the food.
There is a little boy who is always accompanied by her mother (who also has a 3 month-old baby) in our class and I was able to try the cloth diapers to the baby. The newborn size could still fit her but the small size is better. Such a tiny baby. She only weighs almost 3 lbs when she was born.

When I say I mean it, I really don’t….
Last night I said I am not going home yet, that I am not dragging my feet back home and that I really mean it. Forget it. After debating with myself, I gave in and packed our stuffs. Although I really wanted to stay for the weekend, I decided it is best to go home since I am not in the mood to commute. We were ready at 4am, waiting for a text message from Ate Gina. Donald changed Ella’s clothes while she’s sleeping while I do the final packing of stuffs. I already put everything in one corner and waited. After a few moments, Donald went to get a taxi and Cheche (still half-awake) ushered us out of the gate. We didn’t bother waking my sister Crislyn and BIL because like us, they were still up until past midnight because the neighbors at the side are so loud. They were drinking and talking about nonsense stuffs loudly that I wanted to throw a stone over their roof. After their “noise barrage” and before we could finally go to sleep, a neighbor at the back thought that the best time to chop woods is at 2am and so that is what he did.
Such crazy neighbors! Read the rest of this entry »
I think I am dead
I am sorry I am not in my blogging mood tonight. I feel really tired from doing nothing but trying to complete the lacking hours of sleep last night. Donald and Ella have slept early at 2am
while I could not convince my eyes to shut down until almost half past three. I tried every sleeping position that a woman with big bulge could do but I ended up taking my laptop to bed to drain the battery (not of the laptop but of me).

Baby Taz
So it’s Sunday once again. The day went pretty well until this little girl in my Sunday School class decided it’s time to make Teacher Carol go real mad. She’s a kid from the neighborhood and I am actually happy that her mother who is not a member, allowed her and her older sister to attend my class. Each Sunday, this three year old girl would always get her hands on everything that she sees on Ella’s study table. Of course this upsets Ella so much because she’s just so paranoid now that something will be broken, destroyed, torn or would be gone missing. I always tell her to be patient and just talk to the kid nicely that she shouldn’t be touching her things and so this is what Ella does and it pleased me. She also could not sit still but would roam around and would be coming in and out of the house. This distracts the other kids. If she is sitting, she would kick or do anything to make the kid beside her (which is usually her cousin same as her age) cry. Read the rest of this entry »
She sold some blocks!
I would just be making an update about Ella’s business since it’s nearing midnight and we have just arrived from Ate Lourdes house. She invited us over for dinner and spent almost the whole night chatting with her SIL-Ate Rosie Tejada. Read the rest of this entry »
We’re home!
We’re back! Actually we arrived yesterday afternoon but I was too tired to blog. Although I really did miss it, I have yet to straigten the house after being gone for ten days. Ella was teary eyed while we were in the taxi yesterday on our way to the bus terminal. She said she will miss being with her tita’s. She got that from Mamang Eling who cries each time she bids goodbye during her visit in Davao before. She sure do enjoy her vacation. Read the rest of this entry »
Soaked
Our day went pretty good today inspite of the bad weather. The first thing I did was cut flowers to put in the vase for today’s worship service. I planted cosmos in the frontyard two months ago. I was hoping to grow several rows of it that would be a great sight when I look outside the window and take photos that would be wonderful for future use for memes but they all grew taller than me! That’s not what I was looking for. It’s mother plant was just perfect, its height was at the level of my shoulders only and I could get photos of its flowers without any hassles.
