Manners

I am very disappointed with the employee of 2GO SM branch in Davao City. It was my third time to ship items (since Donald does most of the shipping) and I get more and more disappointed with my every visit there. The lady, who appeared to be the only employee of the shop, doesn’t seem to have any idea on how to handle transactions and inquiries. She doesn’t even address me Ma’am and that is what I hate most when talking to store clerks, security guards, sales ladies/sales men and the like. I believe they ought to address each client with respect may it be a farmer with wearing his old torn clothes or the president of the Philippines on her expensive suit. I am taking into consideration that I am here in Davao City where people speak Cebuano. I don’t expect to hear po and opo, ho and oho but I am very upset with this lady who can’t even answer my questions in a very nice way. She won’t even look me in the eye! Another client who came in to ask for their cargo services just left after she didn’t entertain her well. Like what she did to me, her eyes are pinned on the monitor and her hands on the keyboard. I know I am not the only one on this and I hope the management will take time to investigate because they will loose customers with that kind of customer service that they are providing. After all LBC is just a few steps away.

Knocked out

The little guy slept for 14.5 hours straight!!!!! That surprised me because he usually stays up late sometimes until past midnight. If he sleeps early, he will wake up and play before calling it a night but last night he slept all through out. These photos will tell why he’s knocked out.

Photo op with Santa

Guess what? Ella saw Santa last Sunday and she and Eman was able to sit on his lap!!!! It was an unexpected event because we just went to SM with my sister Crislyn and BIL. We went to visit them after the service but we met them outside their apartment on their way to buy a sofa and pay some bills. Cheche was sleeping that time so we opted to go with them so we won’t disturb our working lady. She really needed some rest after a night shift at the restaurant.

The Little Gossip King

If we have little gate crasher some years ago, we discovered we do have a little gossip king. I like it better than “gossip prince”. :-D

We went out yesterday to meet three clients and boy was it so hard to get them all in one place. One couldn’t leave her booth at the Christmas Bazaar held in Davao Convention and Trade Center so I decided to meet her there. I am just glad that the second client was very understanding and flexible. She and her husband met us there too. All the while we were there, I walk like I see none of those oh so tempting stuffs on display. I wish I had money to get some Sunday dress for the four of us and some toys for the little guy. Ella was very good and didn’t give us headache. After handing the items to them and had some chit chat, we headed to SM to meet the young mom who ordered a baby sling. It was already half past 6 in the evening so we went to eat at the foodcourt. What I like there is the wide variety of food from the food stalls and Eman can have some soup too. Donald was giving me a hint that he doesn’t like there because we didn’t see any high chair there. But we are wrong for I found one and it looked much more cleaner that other fastfoods at the grounds level. Even if it’s new and looked clean, I still sprayed and wiped it clean.

Black Friday Sale

My friends from the US went crazy over Black Friday sale. It’s posted on their walls in FaceBook and I was so jealous!!!! How could we not have it here???????? One friend even posted she’s been up for 34 hours and she was so happy with what she got like plasma mounts and some major electronics. Oh how I wish SM will have a big sale like that…..don’t need to be BLACK….maybe a BROWN Friday sale will do. That’s my favorite color! LOL Well to the younger ones it is fun but after chatting with one of my oldest friend in FB I changed my mind. I think I don’t have the patience to try their Black Friday Sale. She said there are like 1,000 people waiting in line!!!!! I will just wait for the leftovers the next day even if it is not on huge discount.

Thank God we are still alive

These are potted poinsettia’s for sale at SM. They are so beautiful and each time I see them on display, I feel very Christmassy. :D But not the night I first saw it there this year because we were in a hurry. I just asked Ella to pose for me very quickly so I can take some pictures.

Family treat

Wow, I can’t believe I am still awake! I was about to just call it a night but the massage was so good it awakened my nerves. I am just sooooooo lucky to have a private masseur and hubby in one. So we all went downtown to meet Melody, the lady who ordered the cloth diapers and baby sling. Last night, Donald was working on the computer while waiting for me to get it all done. If not because of Eman who called to eat at 4am, I could have not gone to bed. By 8am he was up and about and was crawling over me to reach for her sleeping big sister. I was still really sleepy and my eyes are still half shut but I am holding him so he won’t hit his head on the wall or fell on the floor. When you are breastfeeding, your baby at this age can conveniently feed himself even if you are asleep. Yes Eman has already mastered that and he also woke me by a sharp pain by his gums clenching on my nipple. I almost shouted with pain when he did that but I don’t have the energy to do that so I just pulled him from my breast and next thing I knew is he was on my other breast and was squeezing it. It’s a must

We had the lamest excuse of not going to church today and that is getting up late. :-( Ella was the most disappointed and I just realized we should bring her to church every Sunday morning because she detests the evening worship. When I told her we will go to the mall first and proceed to Matina for the evening worship, she protested violently telling me she woke up early because she wanted to go to church in the morning because evenings don’t have Children’s class. I know, I know….the bad parents award goes to us. Anyhoo, even if justifying it won’t make any sense at all….I would just like to write down here that Donald and I are both working online until late last night (he even left the laptop on while it was running some seo tools software thinking it will get done before we leave for church in the morning) not to mention it was hot like hell that made me stay up longer, then the aching head and back that I got from the scares brought to me by the little fella with his rolling over and snake crawls. Many times did we catch him near the edge of the bed even if we just put him a while ago in the side of the wall. So back on the disappointed Ella…..since it will take us an hour to get there, we faithfully sworn that we will not miss morning service anymore (so help us God).

I just didn’t realize that our 15 month stay in Trento had made a great impact to her. She’d knew it was Sunday because Donald plays acapella Christian songs while we are still in bed. She will wake up hearing the songs and she even memorized even the part of the base and alto. :-) Then she is used to me teaching them at Children’s class. We live in the parsonage right next to the chapel so she was never absent from the class (except when we had trips to the city) and that is what she is missing. I honestly thought it’s fine with her to be absent once in a while. Now I know it would be a major disaster. Read the rest of this entry »

Our very short vacation

This a long overdue post but I am always a believer of the adage “Better Late Than Never” so here is my more than two weeks late post.
.
Last June 25 and 26 we were in Davao City. That was Thursday and Friday but Ella has no class so we decided it is best to travel that time so we could be back when the Balikbayan boxes arrives here. It was originally addressed to my sister Crislyn’s apartment because we were planning to move to Kabacan last summer. It took 5 months to get those most awaited boxes due to some delays. Well when Eman did come out all plans must be canceled for financial reasons and we were lucky that the forwarding company let me change the address from the city to the province.
.
We left Trento at 10:30am and we were already in Davao at 2pm. Since the bus takes the route that passes by SM, we got off there and went inside to look for the little boy’s clothes. He has outgrown most of his baby clothes so fast and at 3 months, he wears 6-9 mos or 9-12mos clothes! There’s not much on sale there so we headed my sister Crislyn’s place at almost 6pm.

We’re One!

It’s been a while that I have blogged and being such a big procastinator, I always find it difficult to get myself to write even a short update about what’s going on with our life for the past weeks. But today is different as I feel the NEED to write a post because today is the first birthday of my blog. Yay! I couldn’t believe I have been blogging for a year now. It was like just yesterday when my sister Crislyn was teaching me blogging 101 at her PIL’s place. So to celebrate this very special day, we went out even when the weather is more on the gloomy side. It was drizzling when I woke up in the morning and it went on until we left my sister’s place at almost 3 in the afternoon. Donald, Ella, Cheche and I went to Victoria Plaza first to get some moolah from the ATM then went to Learning is Fun Center along Bajada to check out for new released books. I have been wanting to go there to get a few books for Ella so I was pretty excited that I was finally able to be there. There are many new released books and many books that are on Sale but we left the place with only three activity books for Ella and a kit on how to play guitar that Donald has picked.
