Last November 29 marks the first anniversary of the Manila Peninsula seige. I am planning to post something about it but I got sidetracked some other worthy things to share about. This is one unforgettable moment for me because when Sen. Trillanes and his group seiged the Manila Peninsula Hotel, I was there. Not actually in that hotel.
I was at the SM Mega Mall in Ortigas, just a few minutes ride from the hotel. I joined the Buy Pinoy Trade Expo at Mega Trade Hall 2 under the Caraga Hearts (a group of entrepreneurs/exporters in Agusan Del Norte) and most of the expected foreign buyers and the local ones fled from the exhibit. Others who are still coming cancelled their flights. It was my first time to join and what a very traumatic experience to try to enter the exporter’s world
I do not care about what Trillanes was fighting for, all I care is he ruined my dream. Sorry to all his sympathisers but this is what I honestly feel. I think it’s not only me who felt this way. All of the exporters who were there never reached their expected target sales and orders which is too bad for those who travelled from afar.
