Next time, it will be three….

I do not know how long have I slept last night but boy was I glad that I have at least gone to sleep even when I kept on waking up. Ella have slept early last night and at almost 10, she woke up to eat dinner. Since she has already slept, it was hard for her to get back to sleep when Donald and I called it lights off at midnight. I was hoping I could sleep soundly through the night but Ella keeps on tossing in bed. That wakes me up each time I doze off. After the lights are off, I heard her whisper her prayer that she could wake up early and that her hands could write faster. In the morning when it’s time to prepare for school, we had no problem with her. Read the rest of this entry »

I think I am dead

I am sorry I am not in my blogging mood tonight. I feel really tired from doing nothing but trying to complete the lacking hours of sleep last night. Donald and Ella have slept early at 2am  while I could not convince my eyes to shut down until almost half past three. I tried every sleeping position that a woman with big bulge could do but I ended up taking my laptop to bed to drain the battery (not of the laptop but of me). :-( Read the rest of this entry »

The faith of a child

I woke up hearing the monotonous sound of the raindrops. I heard the alarm went off earlier and was still very sleepy to wake up Donald. It’s the first day of the week and Ella is suppose to be at school. I feel guilty sending her off the school in such weather and yet I feel even more guilty of letting her miss another day at school. When Donald told me that the teacher sent a text message earlier informing us that there would be no class until Wednesday because her MIL died, I felt better. Not because of the MIL’s death but because Ella could spend three days at home. It’s been raining endlessly and the neighbor’s are now flooded. Glad that we have higher grounds here because I do not know what to do with floodwater coming inside the house. Read the rest of this entry »

Our little darling at the party

Photobucket

I wasn’t feeling like blogging tonight because I am dead tired but there’s a very significant event for our little girl that I couldn’t resist sharing. It’s their Christmas program/party at school this morning and both I and Donald went to party with her. We were in a rush because the program will start at 8am yet we were still about to leave the house at that time. We even hailed a cab even it’s just two blocks away because I am afraid that Ella will miss their class presentation only to see that there are only few kids and parents inside that came before us. Was I surprised? Absolutely no because here in the Philippines when the time that was set is 8am, expect that the program will start an hour late. That’s so called Filipino Time. :-( Read the rest of this entry »

Sweeter the second time around

And YUMMIER too :-) …I am talking about our Caramel Popcorn not the one you are thinking about. This afternoon I made another batch of Caramel Popcorn using the Jolly Time Popcorn that was sent by Mama Ingrid. I could say it is so much better because it pops great! No waste! Unlike the local popcorn that Donald bought in the grocery store here. Many kernels did not pop at all. I also did some adjustments again of making the caramel and it turned out better!!!! :-) It is crunchier and the caramel is not grainy as the first batch. I still have to see the result if it was baked. Donald like it more and I do too. ;-) I think I will send some to Ella at school tomorrow so the whole class could help us tell if this is just perfect and if we could start selling. Read the rest of this entry »

Some good things to share

Today’s weather was better with a little sunshine. Since Ella was absent from her class yesterday, she was early today just to find out there was no class since yesterday. The “scholars” had their two-day singing practice for the Thanksgiving Program this Sunday. Read the rest of this entry »

Brainy Baby

As me and my sister Crislyn looks forward for the day that our younger sister Cheche will finally graduate from college this March, Ella is now getting impatient to graduate from Kindergarten too. She said she’s tired of getting up and taking a bath so early but I told her that when she’s in 1st grade in June, she needs to get up and go to school earlier. Read the rest of this entry »

Teaser

I am very happy that the Korean TeleSerye Three Dads and One Mom will end soon. Not that I don’t like it but because it is aired at 10:30pm and my five-year-old is looking forward to it each night. I could not debate her about going to bed early and skipping the show because Donald is so addicted to it too. So each night, they snuggle together infront of the tube while I try to be productive infront of the pc. Lately I’ve been too engrossed uploading photos in my friendster account. Read the rest of this entry »

The coconut nut

Since I am feeling so grumpy every morning, Donald let me stay in bed when it’s time for Ella to prepare for school. Although I was already awake, staying in bed and not moving around much helped a lot. I heard them have their usual battle of the will from eating breakfast until Ella went in the room to kiss me goodbye. She wouldn’t forget to kiss me and hug me a couple of times before leaving which her Daddy find so funny because it’s like we won’t be able to see each other again. Read the rest of this entry »
