It’s Saturday once again and where else could we be found but in the market. We live lightyears away from malls and though it is kinda boring out here, I like here more because we can save a lot of money from unnecessary purchases and spendings. In the morning, I went to the market while Donald and Ella are still in bed in hopes that I could find maternity tops in the ukay-ukay. Read the rest of this entry »

I do not know why I feel I wanted to clean the whole house. It was like I am going somewhere for a vacation and I do not want to see any clutter when I return. When we did the laundry yesterday, I feel the same way too. I wanted to empty the laundry basket and have fresh and clean clothes to bring on our trip. Although I know that we aren’t making the trip to my hometown anymore, I still feel we are going somewhere.
I have been making some cleaning-up project since Monday. I already washed the windows, dusted shelves and tables, waxed the floor, rearranged the bedroom, totally cleaned and sorted out the stuffs on Ella’s desk and the laundry just dried up. But there’s more to do around this small house. Read the rest of this entry »

I feel like I was about to loose patience with my neighbor. Like yesterday, he decided that it was time to do his sawing and sandering during nap time. If his machines doesn’t make irritating noise, I wouldn’t mind at all but this is too much! Grrrrrr!!!! Good that I exhausted myself before lunch by rearranging the beds in our bedroom and moving the two plastic dressers out in the living room. But I was too dumb to change beddings before I decided to do the make over.
Ella was like, “Kararating ko lang nga galing school, nagkalat ka na naman My.” (I just came from school and here you are making a mess My.) Our little grandmother of the house was constantly reminding me of not carrying heavy stuff because it was bad for pregnant. When she saw me moving the single pull out bed, she said “Mommy, wag kang magbuhat ng mabigat.” (Mommy do not carry heavy stuff.) Isn’t she sweet? I said it was fine because it was not that heavy. When Donald saw me, he left what he was doing in the kitchen and helped me move the heavier stuffs. While doing little carrying I felt pain in my tummy. I cupped it and I felt it was hard. Maybe the baby was not pleased with what I did.
In time when everthing was done, I laid in bed with an aching back and tummy. Read the rest of this entry »

As I already posted last night, Donald played “Jack of all Trade” and did some tweaking on the PC to make it look like Windows Vista. And then…poofff…he could not access to any program. Such a genius!
Well, I could now laugh at it…but last night I was really mad because I so wanted to blog and blog hop and maybe I could grab some opps. Anyway, he already learned his lesson and my dear PC is back on its normal state again
Today was pretty good. So good to take a nap because it rained. Ella went to school bringing a bond paper for their drawing session. She told me last night that Teacher would want them to bring ONE piece but I insisted that she’d bring TWO. At this stage, the Teacher is always right and the little kids always say “Sabi ni Teacher isa lang…” (Teacher said to bring just one…) or just anything that the teacher said. I remember the joke about a teacher. She was teaching 1st grade, she said…” A as in Apple” (pronounced as A as in EYPOL)
But anyway, when Ella was about to leave for school I wrapped two pieces of bond paper in case she makes a mistake. I don’t know what her reaction was when she discovered Mommy sent TWO.
After school, Ella played like she always did. She dressed up like Barbie in Fairytopia and scattered all her plastic toys in the living room. She doesn’t fail to dig on the other room what she could find on the bags where I kept all the costumes I got from our store before. She has this Tinker bell, Jasmine, Cinderella, Snow White, Barbie and those ballerina costumes too. Today she chose to be Barbie and was enjoying every moment.

The Fairy who claims to be a mother

to two beautful bears

who lives in this house

and loves making meals out of clay and leaves

and is crazy over her ironing
It is half past nine but Ella was still playing. She changed into an Angel costume. Can’t take photo because the battery is dead. Before she changed to Angel, she was a Ballerina and twirling in the living room like crazy bum like she has taken tons of energy pills. She is can stay wide awake until after midnight if we let her.

I had a plan to go to Davao to get my eon card and packages for Ella in the city post but I had a bad feeling on leaving today so the trip to the city was postponed until tomorrow. I am bringing Ella along as Donald has Bible Study in the afternoon and her titas wants to see their niece. As we cannot go home for my mom’s death anniversary, might as well bring Ella along to see them. I really have to get my eon card because a friend of mine will help me sell in ebay. I need this for the ebay thing and I need to withdraw my first earnings from blogging too to pay for my computer.
I forgot to tell you that Ella spent almost half day in neighbor’s house yesterday while I was gone. The father of his friend Charlie celebrated his birthday yesterday and this little gate crasher of ours went there without our knowledge. They rented a videoke machine (a machine where you drop coins or token for the song to play) and the kids took turns on the microphone. The loud music goes on until the wee hour in the morning and I was praying that there will be power interruption (but not in our house!). I woke up early only to hear the loud music again :-( Ella was saying she didn’t had the chance to sing yesterday. She is good in singing the song Narda and when she sees videoke machines she will grab the mike and request for her song
Yesterday she just sat there, I asked why she didn’t sang and she said she don’t have five pesos to pay for one song. Poor Ella
She was almost punished when she escaped again after asking her Daddy is she could play outside under the shed. Donald allowed her but she must not go anywhere…she went there and played with the wood blocks from the neighbor’s furniture shop. We are doing our own chores and we kept on checking her through the window. She was playing alone and seemed so occupied with it….moments later she was not there and nowhere to be found. We knew then where she went. Donald followed her in the neighbor’s house again and when he was about to give her punishment when she started blabbering…”Mommy the birthday of Charlie’s Daddy is not yet over…how come it was not? And oh…Daddy I saw the pigs in the pigpen and they all look the same! The baby pigs are pink and the mommy is pink too…but they don’t have a daddy in there…”
What else could we do but turn away from her and giggle. She really has a new way to get out of trouble.

Not much of going on today. I am still not feeling well…got a headache added to the neck and back pains
Ella went about marching around the house, played alone and sneaked out from the front door to play with the kids but was called in everytime. I told her she is not allowed to play with them today. Most of her toys are broken or were stolen by the kids and that upsets me so much. Everyday I hear one squeeling about the other stealing Ella’s toy and everyday too, I am seeing broken toys! This is not good at all and I am making Ella understand that we should not let them play anymore with her toys. Last week I sorted her toys, the barbies and good ones are put in the crate and should not be carried outside for their play. I put the odd toys in one smaller crate for them to play with…hoping that everything will be taken cared of and that everything will be turned in after their play….but see, neither of this was done…so I am declaring Martial Law here. No more toys outside and they are not allowed to play either inside the house. This will not take long since I wanted the kids to play too….but I want them to learn from it

I was still enjoying my internet up to this moment! No more long walks to the market to check mails on the internet cafe. It was just a relief from the stiff neck and the foul smell of the cafe. Some ar smoking inside and the others are just so selfish turning high the volume while they play….I suppose it should be airconditioned and that each has to have a headset. My neck hurts too. On the first cafe I went I was looking up for the monitor while the other cafe, I was stooping down. Then there’s this keypad that is soooo hard to press…as if it wasn’t been used for decades. The worst thing is it has no letter F! But anyway, I am still grateful that there’s internet cafe here in town.
Today, we woke up early. I checked mails first then went around the little rooms to organize stuffs while Donald went outside uprooting weeds again and Ella played with her new friends. I don’t know why I only accomplished to sort two crates of odd toys of Ella. These were from our old little house so she’s very much happy to see those again after two months of staying with my sister Crislyn’s parents-in-law. I put the toys that cold be played with other kids while the toys which were given to Ella as a gift or that of value has to be saved. So I let the kids play with the other toys. I am not being selfish, but last Saturday Ella cried because her bike’s seat was broken. The boy much taller and bigger than her kept on riding it, the next thing I heard was it broke. So I was just being careful of Ella’s toys since we can’t afford to buy for now.
So the kids went playing on the shed beside the house where we gather on Sunday School. Donald was on the side near them while I was in the front yard planting ornamental plants we have brought from Davao. As expected, a little boy broke a toy and Ella was just calmly saying to Donald that her toy was broken. When I went near to see if I can do something about it, she ran to the house crying. She was saying “My toy is dead! My toy is dead!!!” Instead of symphatizing with her, I broke into laughter. Her toy was really dead….Poor girl. I told her that it was just a toy and that’s why Mommy kept her special toys inside the house.
Oh by the way, the best thing living in the province is your neighbor knocks at your door with a bowl of “binignit” (it’s like a porridge with sticky rice, banana, sweet potatoes, sago - looks like tapioca, coconut milk and sugar). This is the place I like!

Today’s Donald’s birthday and I am sooo happy ’cause we have the same age now! LOL I am 4 months older ya know. Somebody sent a few $$ for a dinner date but it takes a few days to clear so what we had is a small cake! We’ll postpone the dinner date until we got the money
Ella is super active today. She played in the morning until in the afternoon. She almost forgot to eat lunch. I called her in when darkness sets in. We were lying in bed when she keeps saying “thank you mommy” and putting wet kisses on my cheek. I asked her why she’s saying thank you, she said “because I am receiving many gifts on my birthday”. Yeah she’ll be getting packages from the heroes in the US and I am excited too. I said we will take a nap (nap? It’s almost 6pm!) so she will grow fast. Then she answered “I don’t want to grow because you will ask me to do this…do that…then I have many house chores then”
What a smart answer! She also threw a question last night that I didn’t know if I have asked it myself when I was her age. While I am putting her to sleep, she asked “Mommy, why is it our breath will go on and on while we are sleeping?” Hmmm……this questions scares me! This is it…the question and answer portion until she’s 18 or so. I have to be ready for more neck breaking questions. LOL
EDIT: My sister, Kuya Ace and her parents-in-law went dowtown to pick some groceries. They included spaghetti ingredients for Donald’d burpday and Kuya Ace bought chicken too. The good thing here is the birthday boy prepared his own spaghetti! LOL Bye for now, I’d be helping him before he’ll walk out

Ella played until midnight. She had Carrot dressed in baby clothes that I have saved for her sister (if God will bless us with another bouncing baby girl)
That’s what Ella wanted, a baby girl. I asked her what if it was a boy, she answered “Eh di palitan natin…” ( Let us exchange it) What?!! Was it a dress that you can exchange if it doesn’t fit? LOL My sister was teasing her that we will wait for the mall’s midnight sale so we can buy her a baby sister for a 50% OFF and she pouts saying she don’t want one that is bought. She wants one that is made.
Well, with the rice shortage right now, we can’t afford to have another baby yet. We should be settled first with a home and food and with basic needs. I want her to send to a good school and not be deprived of her needs. In short, the truck should come soon.
Speaking of the truck…I hope next time we will be told that it will come, it will. We need really need to move and get settled in Agusan before June comes so we can have still time to find a school for Ella. We are told last time that the church can offer little amount for our help with the church work. And the rice too, which I can tell now that it would be a great help since the rice price increased drastically. We have actually accepted the work before even without the cash allowance, but with this offer we are more than grateful and who would resist such a blessing? So there would be a house where we would live, rice and allowance. While Donald will be off for church works everyday, I will be left at home. Good that I have this blog to keep me busy and at the same time earn. Being approved by PPP and PayU2Blog is such a blessing. And writing essay for Academi-Research too! I can have dollars and in time, we can get through with our struggle with finances right now.
I was infront of my pc when Ella went beside me and said “Tingnan ko nga mata mo Mommy. O, may dugo na….may mga crack na….’di ka kasi natutulog.” (Let me see your eyes Mommy. See there’s blood, there’s some cracks…it’s because you are not sleeping). The CRACK thing pertains to my blood shot eyes. It just made me laugh how she looked so worried about the CRACKS on my eyes. As if she’s seing cracks on eggs. LOL

There’s still not much going on today. The girls were here again and they busily played outside. Ella is getting better and better in skipping rope. She is also getting more and more excited about her birthday. I have a surprise for her but I blew it off! I am just a moron…can’t keep surprises to myself.

I just would like to share our family portrait. Tantararan……

This is our family portrait drawn by Ella on our desktop. She is so creative! Isn’t she? She had made lots of portraits and I will post it some other time if I have the time to set up the scanner. Donald packed it already in the box ready for our move. Here’s another one too which she made after I have told her that our cousin (her Tito Sherwin who hung himself last March 17) is dead. It was made of little plastic flowers she plucked on its stem and used a double-sided tape to hold the flowers. She carefully laid it on top of the casket and seemed teary eyed while gazing at her Tito Sherwin’s face.

Nobody taught her this. Maybe she saw an arrangement of flowers that looks like this on the funerals we have attended. She seems to have a photographic memory
