Busy me

Just one more to go and I am done with my online tasks. I really have to get it all done before the cut-off so I can get more moolah for Eman’s 1st birthday so even they say it is not until tomorrow until the cut-off, I just want to make sure that all my tasks are included in the next pay out. I am swamped with sewing and craft projects and I feel like I am needing some help especially with the cutting of fabric which takes so much of my time. And there’s my online store that has been sitting there for a month now……I already have a domain where to move my Multiply store but I still can’t find time to get everything in place. I just have to find the right ecommerce plug-in that suits my needs and read about the sites that sell merchant account. I think even if I cannot afford it, I can pick some ideas from their websites.

That is what the name of my online store. PINOY APPLE JUICE. (Love to have an online store…no need for tarps, display windows or cardboard displays to make some sales). Lord-willing that will also be the brand name of my cloth diapers and baby slings. I named it after this little guy’s love for apples.

No, you are not lost. This is my son Eman and I have a new theme for a change.

Isn’t he beautiful? Ella tried her headband on her little bro and I can’t resist taking a photo and sharing it here. He will really kill me. Will show this to his girlfriend someday. harharhar…..

Anyway, I got two domains now in addition to this. Weeeeeee!!!!!!! I have long been wanting to get another domain that I will be using as my online store so from my meager earnings from sheriff last pay out (i.e. $15), I spent the $10 to buy my very own domain name. Yes, sheriff forgot Read more… »

I am making cloth diaper again. Not just for Eman but for all the moms and babies around there who wish to experience the magic of cloth diapering. Been going back and forth downtown to get some fabric and I just wish I have the funds to stock up since stores used to carry only one roll of fabric each color (that I learned from the fabric cutter) and if I would need the same fabric, I might not get it again until the supplier will replenish their stock.  For the printed fabric, he said they are not having the same print again when the one roll was gone.Since the fabric I chose to use are pretty much expensive than before and since I am on a limited budget, I must be very careful to chose colors that might not be hard to find. I have some printed ones and I will put it as Limited Edition.

My cloth diapers is absolutely more absorbent and stylish that my first batch so I am pretty thrilled to start my little business. Here’s my New Improved cloth diaper in solid yellow outer lining and powder blue inner lining.

So we bought the last pack of disposables and will be exclusively cloth diapering Eman when I am done making a dozen for him. I gave everything away what I have sewn for him in newborn and small sizes. I made him a medium but I guess he’s already large. I already have put up my online store in multiply and have talked to some friends to help me start making a name. I will obliged my sister Crislyn to blog about it. I also made Ate Arlene agree to gossip about it too in her blogs. So nice of her. I have also posted my handmade burp pads and receiving blankies in my online store and already got some orders which I am thrilled to death. Guess who ordered? My online friends from the US. Look at what Facebook can do!  Then I am also exchanging emails with Ms. Alex Hao, founder of Mommysense Davao (a group of breastfeeding mommies). I wanted to become a member and along with our conversation, I asked her some tips on how to promote my cloth diapers. Guess what? She wanted to buy a sample in newborn size for her to show as demo in her birthing class!!!! She also asked for a quote for a dozen diapers for her son! I don’t know if this is something you will be thrilled about…but to me it is.

June baby

I am trying to find a birthday gift for Ella for her 6th birthday. It won’t be until the 2nd of June but with the upcoming delivery of the baby in April, the plan of moving (and renovating the old two bedrooms or maybe building a cozy hut) the same month and her enrollment for the next school year, I am afraid that we couldn’t get her a gift that she dreamed of because by that time, we would really be too tight with our budget. That is the bad side of being born in time for the paying of school fees and buying school supplies and uniforms. Here’s hoping that we could still throw her a little party. Read more… »

Today’s weather was better with a little sunshine. Since Ella was absent from her class yesterday, she was early today just to find out there was no class since yesterday. The “scholars” had their two-day singing practice for the Thanksgiving Program this Sunday. Read more… »
