Eman turned 11 months old yesterday and I am such a bad mom for not being able to take decent photos of him. We went to my SIL’s house warming party in the evening and though I knew he turned another month old…….I didn’t bother to take even a single solo picture of him maybe because I was so tired and sore. We traveled an hour to get there so imagine how my back hurt. So to make up for it, we went out tonight to have some sort of late celebration. We actually had no plans on going out but I just asked if we could go buy ingredients for mango float. I ate almost half of the whole batch that was served last night yet I still crave for it. So off we went with the kids in their jackets because we are also heading to Jack’s Ridge. It is a restaurant on top of a hill. We have been there for several times before I got pregnant with Eman so this time it was his turn to see the place. The good thing there is that you can just hang in there the park overlooking Davao City, Davao Gulf and the islands of Samal and Talicud without needing to dine in their restaurant. So that’s what we did.

This art seemed nicer during daytime. The word DAVAO is a sculpture of Durian, waling-waling, native people and Pomelo. Read more… »

I was meaning to post about Eman’s birth story but I can’t seem to find time to finish what I have started writing 4 days ago. I don’t have the luxury of time to blog now since Eman’s always calls me to feed him.
We are very happy that I am breastfeeding him because I failed to purely breastfed Ella before. Aside from getting nutrients that formulas don’t have, we could also save A LOT.
Although the following day after his birth we fed him with formula using a small syringe because I still don’t have much milk yet, I am very thankful that I have enough milk now (and crossing my fingers and toes that the supply will last until he decides to eat rice) He wasn’t satisfied with what he can get from me on the second day (he is really a boy!) so we have to give him formula through syringe to prevent confusion between my nipple and the bottle’s nipple. Now I feel I am floating in the air because I can’t get enough sleep especially at night when I have to feed and change his diaper but I love it. It feels so good to hold him close to me and his smiles always delights us all. Read more… »

I haven’t done a decent post for several days now and I am missing it. There are so much to write about but each time we got here at my sister’s place, it’s already past midnight. I even forgot to blog about my cousins who came from Kabacan last Sunday to pay respect. The girls went home at almost 2am while the boys stayed with Donald at the funeral parlor until almost seven in the morning. My SIL couldn’t believe that they came all the way from our hometown just to show their sympathy. She must have been very surprised if my aunties made it here but since they also have some business and patients to attend to, the younger generation of our clan was sent.
Wish Cheche will be here soon because I want to eat something. I’ll be sending her to buy it and would be asking for a massage that I badly needed.
Yesterday, Donald tried the McDo online delivery as he was starving already. I was craving for sundae but too bad they didn’t have it that time. maybe their machine broke.
So just had burger and fries, Crislyn had spaghetti and fries while Donald ordered 1-piece chicken with spaghetti. Read more… »

After a sumptuous dinner with BIL’s family (his whole family i.e. Dad, Ma, brother and sisters and their families) last December 27, we spent an hour (I guess) outside Victoria Plaza for some photo op at the huge tree. After some snaps, we broke in different groups (three I guess) just chatting. Here’s what Donald, Ella, Cheche and I can do to kill the time. Read more… »

I told Donald few days before we went home from our vacation that I will be stocking the fridge with goodies that aren’t available here in our little town. I did it when we went to his parent’s farm. I bought Goldilocks polvoron, piayas and biscochos in Cagayan de Oro before heading back home. So the day before we left Davao, Donald and I went grocery shopping. He wanted to shop at Park ‘N Shop in Victoria Plaza because he said EVERYTHING we need is in there and the bible says wives must submit to their husbands….and so I did. Read more… »

ACTUALLY is one of the words that amuse me lately. Ella was doing good in learning to speak English and three nights ago, when I was telling her to come up in bed she made me and Donald burst in laughter. “ACTUALLY, ‘di pa ako inaantok.” (Actually, I am not sleepy yet.) And she pronounced the word pretty well. I asked her where on earth did she get that word and she answered, “Galing kay Rabbit.” (It’s from Rabbit.) Yeah, Rabbit. The keritz lover in Winnie the Pooh movies. She’s really learning.
