Pinoy Apple Juice

That is what the name of my online store. PINOY APPLE JUICE. (Love to have an online store…no need for tarps, display windows or cardboard displays to make some sales). Lord-willing that will also be the brand name of my cloth diapers and baby slings. I named it after this little guy’s love for apples.

Baby in the bag

Hi all! I am blogging from my sister and BIL’s apartment. We will be spending the night here so we can go to church tomorrow without much sweat. I meant that literally. hehehehe. We usually leave at half past 8 in the morning and if not drizzling, it scorching hot. My back is aching from sewing (my own way of making money from home and hopefully provide employment to other moms) and from riding two wheels. Eman is not very cooperative this time because he was awake half of the trip. He loves sticking his head out of the sling, looking at the lights of cars and other motorcycles. We stopped at Ram’s roasted chicken and liempo stand to buy one roasted chicken. The guy at the stand noticed Eman on the sling and told me “Te, napilo ang iyang till.” Pointing at Eman’s feet. I was carrying him in kangaroo carry and people give me a strange look when I do that.ad I smiled and told him it’s suppose to be like that. I have no time to explain but I told him it doesn’t hurt the baby and is very comfortable. How I wish I could explain further to introduce babywearing to Filipino’s. Well, we are familiar with this but people are familiar with it from the way the native people carry their babies. This is a stylish and chic version of the traditional baby sling. Like yesterday, the two ladies at the mall were curious and I was able to show them how it works and how to use it safely and comfortably while I was waiting for Donald and Ella. But this time we are in a hurry so as I walked away, I heard the guy say to the lady at the next stall, “Tana-awa ang bata gisulod sa bag!” (Look they put the baby in the bag!) LOL

Many times I see people looking at us like we are aliens. I guess I should go back there one time to tell him it’s not a bag. It’s a SLING. :-)

I got a Domain for free!

Photobucket

No, you are not lost. This is my son Eman and I have a new theme for a change.

Isn’t he beautiful? Ella tried her headband on her little bro and I can’t resist taking a photo and sharing it here. He will really kill me. Will show this to his girlfriend someday. harharhar…..

Anyway, I got two domains now in addition to this. Weeeeeee!!!!!!! I have long been wanting to get another domain that I will be using as my online store so from my meager earnings from sheriff last pay out (i.e. $15), I spent the $10 to buy my very own domain name. Yes, sheriff forgot Read the rest of this entry »

Scary Typhoid and Dengue Fever

I feel so bad. Eman’s helmet lock caught little of his skin near his jaw. :-( I am always careful when putting on his helmet, I see to it that my finger is slid in between his face and the lock but this time he seemed unhappy that we are saying byebye to his tita’s and tito. He squirmed and it happened. My Bad!

We went downtown to buy little fabric then we had dinner at my sister’s apartment. When that happened, we were outside the hospital getting ready to leave. No, no one in the family is hurt or sick. We went to visit our wedding godfather at Brokenshire Integrated Hospital who is admitted due to typhoid and dengue fever. Yes he have it BOTH and his platelet count went down to 20 this evening. That is scary! Read the rest of this entry »

New Year’s Celebration at Paradise Island Park and Beach Resort

Mt. Apo’s majestic view from Paradise Island

Oh my goodness. It’s already the 4th of January yet I have not blogged about our New Year’s celebration. Well, we are all crazy over beaches (note: white sand beaches that is) and we all so wanted to spend a day or two there last Christmas but our resources won’t permit. But that didn’t stop us from planning….and so we are talking about it non-stop right after Christmas. My sister will be getting her bonus before New Year so there is still a slight sign that we are really going. ;-)

Christmas pressies

I think it’s cat food….nom…nom…nom….

We celebrated Christmas with my family. Daddy came over from Pagadian City. Donald wanted to celebrate with BIL’s parents (with Daddy of course) but they went to Siquijor to visit the family of BIL’s mom. So we were not complete (we are celebrating Christmas with them for several years now and we missed them so much) but still we had fun. Since it is just us we decided to do exchanging of gifts to make the occasion more fun.

Eman’s first beach experience

It’s been like ages since I last wrote a post. Like I always say, it is not easy for me to blog when there is too much to blog about. There was the visit at UP Mindanao, the reunion (well not quite the reunion you would want) with some cousins, some aunts, some nephews and nieces and the Christmas celebration with my father, sisters and BIL. During the reunion, we just had a simple get together at Mergrande Beach Resort where Eman had his first beach experience. He had a blast and that is what I never expected. I thought he would cry and be afraid of the waters but I was so wrong. The moment he saw the waters, he was rocking his body back on forth as if to help us reach the water faster. LOL

Eman’s at it AGAIN

Waaaah! The little guy is much fussier tonight. :-( It’s not just due to teething but it’s the 4th time he had thrush and when he has it, he also has rashes on his neck and nape. His rashes is the worst in all those episodes. It spread in the back of his ears and part of his head. But he was very cooperative earlier when Donald and Ella went to Land Transportation Office (LTO) for a student’s permit. We played and cuddled a lot, I fed him with solid and he breastfed a lot too, we both napped and we did a lot of talking too.

My son is not a goat

At last I was able to explore farther in the back of the house. I can’t say it’s our backyard since our yard ends a few feet from the kitchen’s doorstep. hehehehe. I know there is a river down that cliff near the house but I never had the guts to go down there. When the kids woke up from their afternoon nap (and Donald was still snoring), I let them wear their pajamas and grabbed the camera so we can see even a bit of it.

There is the house, the second yellow house from right. Because of the tree covering part of the house, I can’t get a good view so I decided now is the chance to get a glimpse up close.
