He is walking and soon be running….

Oh where oh where did the time go? The little guy is walking now. Now I felt guilty again for forgetting to blog about it. He has made his first steps without support first week of April when we were at the beach. But I was so afraid to let him practice at home because he might fall and bump in the hard corners or hit his head on the floor. A month ago, he started walking all by himself and now he can walk miles. LOL Not literally but he really amazes me with his balance.

Eman helping me sweep the floor

He imitates everything. From talking over the phone, using the remote control, brushing hair and sweeping the floor. Soon he will be running out of the house. I still don’t want that to happen. I sure will miss when he is this little. How I wish he will stay this way because I love to have a baby at home but I cannot be pregnant again. Aside from the high risk of giving birth, I hated taking prenatal vitamins that makes me always want to puke. :(

Another business plan

I was up until 3 in the morning looking at photos of cakes. Donald brought up the idea of baking cakes and pastries again and I remember when I wrote about some wild thoughts October of 2008. I really wanted to learn how to bake especially cakes and we actually have a plan on buying oven and baking equipments before Eman was born. Then came Eman March the following year along with the unexpected hospital bill and the  bills that came from him being hospitalized for three times last August 2009. I have no regrets at all because I can trade all the material things for the life and health of my kids. And came the idea of baking again which I think would be a great business. Well I have proven that getting into a business don’t have to be big. It should be something that you love to do and baking is not difficult to love. Who could resist the cakes?????? I fell in love with fondant icing. I can’t wait to get my hands to it.

There is one thing that made me have second thoughts. It was having a handful to do. I have sew cloth diapers and baby slings plus I make personalized gift items. I told Donald that maybe we are jumping from one project to another…..but he said doing that is not good if we have not perfected the craft and yet start another thing again. He said I have perfected the sewing and hand-painting of gift items so to start a baking business is not a bad idea. That I really need to hear from him so I won’t feel guilty. :-) Why not try? After all all of the successful entrepreneurs does not focus on one business only. So we are now buying an oven for me to bake cakes and cupcakes. I am so excited! I wish I can bake cakes and cupcakes for Eman’s 1st birthday. :D Read the rest of this entry »

Birth pictures

I was looking at old pictures and found these precious ones. I forgot to blog about this, not that they don’t really matter to me but because I can’t keep up with a lot of things to blog about when this happened. Last March 20, 2009, the day before her Graduation Day, Ella drew this in 4″ x 6″ white board.

We were waiting for Eman to make an appearance and she envisions what will happen when that most awaited day will come. As you can see, I am on the delivery table and the doctor was helping Eman come out.

Oh he’s answering the phone!

Photobucket

When I woke up today Donald told me my friend Steph called me. It’s been three days that we are constantly talking over the phone about the latest happenings, the news, our businesses and on getting a credit card for emergency purchases and payments. Donald handed me the phone in case she will call back but Eman was very quick to grab it from his Daddy’s hand. He put it near his left ear and said in the cutest voice, “Heeyoo?”. Yes our little guy knows how to answer the phone! :-D He also say “Ayoooo” when he heard a knock. He sometimes does the knocking followed by his “ayoooo”. Well it sounded like “ayo” or “tao po” but I prefer the “tao po” because it’s Tagalog although they have the same meaning. This is how we call at someone’s gate or door.

Another thing that he does that really makes me soooooo happy is to kiss me on my cheek. When I say “kiss Mommy….”, he will put his lips on my cheek. He does that to Donald and Ella too. He still doesn’t know how to do a smack but he is getting there soon. :-) He can also comprehend what has being told to him especially when it comes to milk. When he is in the baby sling while we are riding the motorcycle, he sometimes wants to see the road so he starts to get so fussy and wiggly. But if I tell him that we will breastfeed (”Dede na tayo”), he would stop at an instant and let me position him inside the sling and wait very patiently. He knows if it’s time to eat solid too and when he hears the sound of his bowl and spoon he would get on his feet and hold on the rails, eyes as wide as the owl’s.

He is also getting better each day with his balance. As I am writing this post, he’s in his playpen beside me doing his walking practice and I saw him take his first two steps without support. Yay! He crosses the longest side of his playpen (his is rectangle) in warp speed and with a sound effects like that of a myna. LOL Looks like he will be running on his birthday in 24 days. I wish I can stop the time. I don’t want him to turn 1 yet. I want him to be my baby for the rest of my life but that is so impossible so maybe just delay it will be alright.

Eman’s new tricks

Photobucket

So our little guy, who is 10 months and 16 days old today, can now clap his hands and he does it with great pride. The picture can tell. I realized that teaching my baby should be in a fun fun fun way and doing it just a couple of times a day is just perfect. So after showing how I do it for four days, he did it all by himself the other day!!!! Isn’t that wonderful? Sometimes he gets confused what he was asked to do, whether to clap or close and open his tiny hands. Can’t blame him because the two goes with a song that has the same tune. LOL So each time he closes and opens his tiny hands when I ask him to clap, I will hold his hands and clap it for him. He is really making us proud. :D Read the rest of this entry »

The tale of the two sleeping bears

This face looks like I have to keep an eye on him.

Mother’s instinct proved to be right again. He has plotted another mischief but this time it’s too cute and I can’t help but giggle. Ella was playing with her bears last Monday. She loves playing mommy to them. She tucked them to bed and left for “work” and this little guy thought it’s cool to join them. Read the rest of this entry »

Knocked out

The little guy slept for 14.5 hours straight!!!!! That surprised me because he usually stays up late sometimes until past midnight. If he sleeps early, he will wake up and play before calling it a night but last night he slept all through out. These photos will tell why he’s knocked out.

Meeting new friends

I am not feeling well today. I guess it’s the over-exertion from holding Eman. He is becoming more and more active and when he’s on my lap, he tries to reach for things that he finds interesting. He also have this attitude of making his head fall back when he can’t get what he wanted. Well I am the mother and he can’t get his way. I am giving him a swat on the leg and tell him it’s not good each time he does that. He’s 9 months and he’s not too young for discipline. So there you go, nip it in the bud.

So the whole morning I was feeling sick. Donald gave me a massage and he said what I needed is a joy ride. I don’t want to be called a wet blanket so I agreed. We went to Mintal taking the back road as usual. The afternoon breeze was cold and I somehow felt better. We wanted to eat so we looked around for a resto that serves Pansit Guisado and the like and so we did some kind of a little tour because we are not yet familiar with the place. While we are looking around I told Donald about the fellow blogger, Chikai, who grew up in that place. Last night I scoured her blog for the post she did many months ago when her grandma died. It has photos of their house. I was lucky to have found it last night so I told Donald about it and he was interested in finding it too. I knew the name of the street but we didn’t get around to asking people where it can be found because on our next turn I saw a house that I thought their house (I mean her parent’s house - since she is married and is based in the US now). But the house is not like what I saw in the pictures…..theirs is green and beside it is their grandma’s house. We are slowly moving and as we got near the curb, I saw a very familiar house. Nightmares

It’s half past 1 in the morning but I am still awake. Donald was working in the living room and I am here in the bedroom. Our two baybees are sleeping and I find it too cute how they sleep. They are both facing the left and when I check on them again they are both facing the right. :-)

It’s cold over here so Ella wore a stockings to bed and they both have no qualms when I put their fleece blankets over them. These kids hates blankets.

Waaaaaaah! As I was writing this post the TV inside the bedroom went on and off a few times by itself! Ohmaygawd! I froze! Really! That TV was put off hours ago. :-( Ella also gave me a little scare earlier too when I was feeding Eman. They are both asleep and Eman started whimpering so I lied in between them to feed him. Ella stood up, I thought he has to go pee but she stood infront of the TV (which was off) and after a few moments she bawled. I have to get Donald carry her like a baby. She had a bad dream. I think it was about the dirtbike. She was telling me she wanted to ride again but it was put off.

I hope there will be no other bad dream for her and I hope I can sleep soundly too. I hate nightmares.

View from the window

I have officially started hoarding digiscrap kits yesterday and now I have almost 40 kits in my files. Weheeeeee! I so wish I have the liberty to download even the kits that are for sale. I started digiscrapping and made 3 lay-outs but I think I have to do a little more work on it before I will post it here. Julie is a great scrapper and I don’t want to be posting my not-so-creative lay out of mine. LOL I think I have a long long way to go before I can make great lay-outs like hers.

We moved Ella’s study table outside the living room (that serves as Donald’s table for now and forever) to make room for Eman’s playpen inside the bedroom. Then my computer table which was beside the door was moved near the window. This way we can leave Eman in his playpen while I work on the computer (reading about receipt printer, digiscrapping and blog-hopping at the same time). This little guy is so creative in plotting his escape from the playpen so he must be close to me at all times. When he gets bored with his books and toys, he would beg to get scooped and the whole time he was on my lap he was busy peeping outside the window.
