Yesterday was special because Eman turned 6 months old and it was “Family Day” for Ella. I am becoming lazy in taking pictures of the kids which is bad since Eman is showing more antics than ever and I missed to capture most of that. So to mark this day, I propped him on the bed and started clicking away.

He seemed not so in the mood for photo shoot.

then he started praying or was he counting his little fingers?

I think I am the laziest blogger on the face of the planet but then I am finding some reasons which are valid of course to justify my laziness. I am trying to figure out if I am just overwhelmed with too many stuffs that needs to get done and add to top it all, Eman’s health issues.Yesterday was a Sunday and we all went downtown to attend the service at Uyanguren. But hey, there’s more that you didn’t know! Last Sunday we went back to Trento and packed our stuffs. I did most of the packing since wives cannot rely on the husbands to do it. Yes they can be asked to help and they can do it thrice our speed BUT I would like to spare myself from pulling my hair while unpacking here in our rented place. I am not very OC but I want it organized so it will not be difficult for me. I don’t want to be digging the frying pan in the bag of laundry so I decided I will do it alone. Donald was the one in charge in finding a truck, bathing Eman, buying meals and making the bed so it is just fair.
The neighbors are kind enough to help out too.
Ella was not very sad the day we moved mainly because her bestfriend Charlie and his parents went with us here in Davao. The truck we hired was of the neighbor. The couple asked them to accompany them here in the city so the truck was packed with stuffs and people. We left Trento at 2am that day. Donald and I didn’t slept since it was 10pm when they were done arranging our things in the truck and it was midnight when the last neighbor left. We left bags after bags of clothes, the crazy wall fan, beds, toys and other stuffs to the neighbors. Remember the crazy neighbors that I blogged about before? They are the ones who helped me with all the packing and of course they got most of the stuffs. Ella and Eman did slept for a couple of hours.
So here we are now living in the city. Got to update this blog more often because I don’t want to loose my PR and ops.
Also, please check this post sometime later. I will be editing this to insert some happenings that I have not written now since I am in a hurry to meet the deadline and to do the first batch of laundry. See yah!

Ella’s Little Bear finally met Big Bear. Mama Ingrid sent Ella an identical teddy bear made by Russ Berrie which I saw in Ebay last September 21 to be exact. I still remember how thrilled I was to see Teddy’s brother in Ebay.

See how time changed Big Bear. He sure looks a lot older than Little Bear but Ella still loves her old, bald bear. When Mama Ingrid purchased it online, it was right on her doorstep after a week but it wasn’t until the balikbayan boxes were ready that it started its journey to her new home. Read more… »

Last June 26 Ella had her birthday portrait at Lito Sy. This is where we bring her every year. It’s 24 days late but at least we made it there before the end of the year.
MIL and my sister Crislyn gave her money for her birthday so we bought her a dress and a pair of sandals which she wore. This photo was taken in the customer’s lounge after her photo shoot. She gamely poses for the camera like a pro. The pictures will be out after three days but since we went home that day, we have not claimed it yet. I am glad I was able to take some snaps of her.

Caring for Eman is getting more difficult each day. He just loved to be held and rocked while standing. I love to do that but he is just so heavy!
Like other days…..all I did was feed, bathe, hold, rock and do some little chat with him…then fix lunch and farm.
And oh blog…yes, I am blogging a little now.
While our little man is still needing a lot of attention and care, our dear little lady here is surely growing so fast and independent. Several months ago, I noticed a great change in her. She can use the bathroom alone, bathe herself, brush her teeth, fix her hair, get her own food, make her own glass of milk, puts on her socks and shoes, get dressed and she even cleaned her book bag tonight before going to bed. How I wish I could freeze her growth like the plants in Farm Town.
Speaking of Farm Town, I took a picture of my sisters and I in my farm.
But I am so dumb not to know how to post it here in my blog. Tried cropping it and resizing it but it does not appear as I want it to be. I will figure it out first. Anyway, I logged it to Cheche’s account and hired her to harvest my grapes. Then my sister Crislyn came and helped out. While I was standing there, I took a photo of us. When my sister Crislyn read the message that I am taking photo she suggested that we move near the flowers in my farm house. It’s like a reunion. I can’t believe we had a picture in my farm!
Tomorrow I will ask Donald to pose with me.

I stayed at home the whole day…..literally. I have not stepped outside the house even once. I should have gone for ukay-ukay hunting since it’s market day but it was a gloomy day so we stayed at home. We even didn’t go for grocery shopping because Donald and I doesn’t feel like going out. Maybe tomorrow or Monday we can go to the store to get some things we need.
Ella played her favorite computer games most of the day. I can’t do farming without her bugging me to let her play. When she sees Donald is not on the laptop she rushes to take the throne and if I am feeding Eman she rushes on the pc. LOL My sister Crislyn hired me to do her crops when Eman decided to get my attention so I asked Ella to do the harvesting for me. She ended up plowing for her tita too! Now she’s begging to get a facebook account so she can have her own farm.
I guess she’ll be one of the youngest farmer in FarmTown.

It’s the first time we have not put Eman in his hammock and he’s not so happy with it. We got him a crib mobile this morning so he can easily adjust. He’s been taking naps on his hammock and it sure does feel a lot different than in a crib that’s stationary. In the afternoon he slept there without problem but he went crying so loudly like he’s been pricked my a pin on the butt tonight.
Am glad he’s already sleeping so soundly in there. When Ella went home from school this noon she saw the mobile that hasn’t been set yet. She was smiling and talked to her little brother about the beautiful surprise he’ll get. There’s no way I will assemble it without a clear instruction in the box….I am afraid I might break it so Donald went back to the store to ask the saleslady to assemble it for us. So when it’s all set, we tried it and Eman was just as happy as the big sister. I never heard her complain about not getting anything which she usually does. But of course we also bought her a hoola hoop that’s she’s asking for a long time. We got it for around $1.5. She has been very patient in waiting for us to get her one and she deserves it for the number of times she got perfect score in their quizzes. While Eman was inside the crib, she was standing beside it like she’s wanting to get in there too. I can tell it by the look of her eyes and I kept telling Donald (in English so she won’t understand LOL) about it. Donald got what I meant so he stood and lifted her inside the crib. She was really thrilled and couldn’t believe she’s shared it with Eman.
Has been raining since 5pm this afternoon. We were at a birthday party of one of the brethren’s son. I could still recall we were also there last year which is just like yesterday. We were three then and now we are four. I just hope we won’t be five next year. Not yet. LOL

I promised to post a photo of her new haircut and so here it is…..another long overdue post. Isn’t she looked so adorable? This was taken when she got home from school at noon. I usually ask her, “Kumusta ang school nak?” (How’s school?) but she did the asking that time. Right when she stepped inside the house she asked, “Kumusta ang laro Mommy?” (How’s the game Mommy?) because for several days she has been seeing me toooooooooo engrossed in Farm Town. The other day she said she, Eman and Daddy are already in bed and when she got up from a dream she looked for me and saw me still infront of the pc. I said I was busy doing some work. Guess what she said? “Busy ka nagtatrabaho? Nag harvest ka na naman?” (You are busy at working? Harvesting again?) Hahahahahaha!

When Ella was three, there are still a lot of non-airconditioned taxi in Davao. We seldom ride airconditioned taxis since it is way too expensive. So when she went with my sister Crislyn and BIL (together with my sister’s PIL) to attend the christening of BIL’s nephew, she was beyond thrilled and exclaimed, “Wow!!!! Aircon!!!!”
She is just a big fan of AC’s. Now that the city government of Davao has not been renewing franchises of non-airocnditioned taxi units, I guess she is one of the happiest member of the riding public. She was even telling us over and over that when she is big, she will buy a car with an auto ac compressor that is as good as the blue taxi in Davao.
This a long overdue post but I am always a believer of the adage “Better Late Than Never” so here is my more than two weeks late post.
.
Last June 25 and 26 we were in Davao City. That was Thursday and Friday but Ella has no class so we decided it is best to travel that time so we could be back when the Balikbayan boxes arrives here. It was originally addressed to my sister Crislyn’s apartment because we were planning to move to Kabacan last summer. It took 5 months to get those most awaited boxes due to some delays. Well when Eman did come out all plans must be canceled for financial reasons and we were lucky that the forwarding company let me change the address from the city to the province.
.
We left Trento at 10:30am and we were already in Davao at 2pm. Since the bus takes the route that passes by SM, we got off there and went inside to look for the little boy’s clothes. He has outgrown most of his baby clothes so fast and at 3 months, he wears 6-9 mos or 9-12mos clothes! There’s not much on sale there so we headed my sister Crislyn’s place at almost 6pm.
