We finally moved!

I think I am the laziest blogger on the face of the planet but then I am finding some reasons which are valid of course to justify my laziness. I am trying to figure out if I am just overwhelmed with too many stuffs that needs to get done and add to top it all, Eman’s health issues.Yesterday was a Sunday and we all went downtown to attend the service at Uyanguren. But hey, there’s more that you didn’t know! Last Sunday we went back to Trento and packed our stuffs. I did most of the packing since wives cannot rely on the husbands to do it. Yes they can be asked to help and they can do it thrice our speed BUT I would like to spare myself from pulling my hair while unpacking here in our rented place. I am not very OC but I want it organized so it will not be difficult for me. I don’t want to be digging the frying pan in the bag of laundry so I decided I will do it alone. Donald was the one in charge in finding a truck, bathing Eman, buying meals and making the bed so it is just fair. ;-) The neighbors are kind enough to help out too.

Ella was not very sad the day we moved mainly because her bestfriend Charlie and his parents went with us here in Davao. The truck we hired was of the neighbor. The couple asked them to accompany them here in the city so the truck was packed with stuffs and people. We left Trento at 2am that day. Donald and I didn’t slept since it was 10pm when they were done arranging our things in the truck and it was midnight when the last neighbor left. We left bags after bags of clothes, the crazy wall fan, beds, toys and other stuffs to the neighbors. Remember the crazy neighbors that I blogged about before? They are the ones who helped me with all the packing and of course they got most of the stuffs. Ella and Eman did slept for a couple of hours.

So here we are now living in the city. Got to update this blog more often because I don’t want to loose my PR and ops. :-) Also, please check this post sometime later. I will be editing this to insert some happenings that I have not written now since I am in a hurry to meet the deadline and to do the first batch of laundry. See yah!

This a long overdue post but I am always a believer of the adage “Better Late Than Never” so here is my more than two weeks late post.
.
Last June 25 and 26 we were in Davao City. That was Thursday and Friday but Ella has no class so we decided it is best to travel that time so we could be back when the Balikbayan boxes arrives here. It was originally addressed to my sister Crislyn’s apartment because we were planning to move to Kabacan last summer. It took 5 months to get those most awaited boxes due to some delays. Well when Eman did come out all plans must be canceled for financial reasons and we were lucky that the forwarding company let me change the address from the city to the province.
.
We left Trento at 10:30am and we were already in Davao at 2pm. Since the bus takes the route that passes by SM, we got off there and went inside to look for the little boy’s clothes. He has outgrown most of his baby clothes so fast and at 3 months, he wears 6-9 mos or 9-12mos clothes! There’s not much on sale there so we headed my sister Crislyn’s place at almost 6pm.

Happy birthday Totis!

Ella calls my BIL “TOTIS” when she could barely talk. She couldn’t pronounce “Tito Ace” at that time and we find it so cute and endearing. Until now we (the grown ups) sometimes refer to BIL as TOTIS long after Ella could very well pronounce the words.

On moving (again????)

I was looking forward for today to be such a busy day for me. I already sorted all the baby clothes and stuffs that needs to be washed and folded to be ready in case the baby will decide for an early appearance. I wasn’t expecting nor hoping for a premature delivery, but I just want to be ready. Like my sister and BIL who are moving this weekend, Donald and I are also playing some wild idea on moving back to my hometown when Ella’s classes ends. That will be this March and we are crossing our fingers that we can make it as early as possible before I gave birth which will be on the 1st week of April.  That’s just a plan, not yet final and so we are not disclosing this to Tatang and Inang or any other members of the church yet. It’s a BOY!!!!!!

Hello! I am blogging from Davao and I am working on my own computer. Yey! ;-) I have succesfully sweet talked Donald to bring it here at my BIL’s place for our long vacation so I could still blog. Good that he willingly packed the cpu, monitor (good thing that mine is lcd), keyboard and everything else except the scanner/printer. :-)

It’s still dark when I get out of bed this morning and started the computer in hopes that I could grab some opps. I think my screen froze because it’s been the same opps count since last night. :-) I was planning to leave before 8am but Donald and Ella were still asleep until almost 7am. Since it’s drizzling, I let them snuggle in bed longer while I read and replied to some emails. Read more… »

I do believe in miracles and this morning, I witnessed one. Baby Taz was pretty behaved in our Sunday School class and it was indeed a miracle. :-) Unlike the past Sundays when all she does is getting so physical with her cousin, lie down on the floor as if she’s in their house, getting her hands into all the stuffs at Ella’s study table and walking back and forth disturbing not just me but the entire class…..today she stayed there at her chair, eyes pinned on me and repeats every word I utter (that I asked her to stop)while I tell them another story about Jesus. She and her cousin hasn’t exchanged kicks and pinches and it was such a miracle. :-) I now see her as a doll or an angel, not a Baby Taz. Read more… »

Baby Taz

So it’s Sunday once again. The day went pretty well until this little girl in my Sunday School class decided it’s time to make Teacher Carol go real mad. She’s a kid from the neighborhood and I am actually happy that her mother who is not a member, allowed her and her older sister to attend my class. Each Sunday, this three year old girl would always get her hands on everything that she sees on Ella’s study table. Of course this upsets Ella so much because she’s just so paranoid now that something will be broken, destroyed, torn or would be gone missing. I always tell her to be patient and just talk to the kid nicely that she shouldn’t be touching her things and so this is what Ella does and it pleased me. She also could not sit still but would roam around and would be coming in and out of the house. This distracts the other kids. If she is sitting, she would kick or do anything to make the kid beside her (which is usually her cousin same as her age) cry. Read more… »

Hello Davao!

What a day! me and Ella left home for Davao past 9 in the morning. Last night she agreed on going with me, but when I called her to take a shower, she changed her mind. I need to give her a look just to follow me to the bathroom. She wanted to stay as she found out that the neighbors are washing clothes in the well and she wanted to do it too. She kept complaining on having to go with me. She always feel sick when we ride buses, even air conditioner won’t do any good and this makes her unhappy to go. While in the bus, I let her sleep and I was so pleased she did, only to wake up after 30 minutes and start complaining again. Read more… »
