My kids at church

Guess I have some cute photos of the kids that I wanted to share. I actually have a LOT of it taken the previous week so be ready for future posts with lots of photos. This batch was taken last Sunday evening when we went to attend the worship service at Uyanguren congregation. It was the second Sunday that we attended the evening service. We had a short talk with our preacher at the lobby and I was able to take some photos of my two beautiful children. :)

The last two photos are taken inside the auditorium while waiting for the service to start. They are both wearing their birthday clothes although Ella wasn’t able to wear that dress on her party. We bought that for her birthday portrait at the studio which will still happen this week. More than a month late! :) Anyhoo, better late than never is my favorite motto lately.

That Sunday I didn’t get to hear the message because Eman was walking around the room and I have to bring him out. The preacher’s wife told me to just let him go around the room but he could distract others from listening.  He is really becoming a handful to me and I am just so glad Ella was there to help me look after him. He is such a good big sissy! She deserves a reward.

Perfect 10

I was bitten by the lazy bug again. Ugh! I was occupied with so many stuffs in and out of the house that I was like counting the days that my blog hasn’t been updated. Though I posted a lay-out, it’s not it but as promised, I will write a somewhat decent post or if I am lucky - posts - about how our week went.

Last Saturday, Ella was bugging me to skip church. If you knew her, she is counting the days until Sunday and will get really disappointed if we can’t attend the service. It’s because she doesn’t want to miss a class in Sunday School so she can get a medal too on their Recognition and Promotional Ceremony next January. Two Sundays ago she showed us a paper. It’s the list of the things God has created with a long memory verse at the back and that was the reason of it all. She said she’s not prepared for the quiz. Gah! I have only made her agree to come with us to church after I told her to just do her best and if her best is not good enough then it is perfectly alright. Then I reminded her of the dress I made for her. She went back reading her notes over and over again until she fell asleep.

I stayed up until 3 in the morning sewing while Donald worked on the computer. I had 3 hours of sleep. It’s like I just dozed off, dreamed of buying a pink and brown Samsonite luggage for a vacation and then it’s time to be getting ready to church. Ella was so happy to wear the dress and was even happier that she got a perfect score of 10 on their quiz. :-D She made us so proud!!!!!!

Freddie and his son

We were able to attend the worship service this morning after missing it for several Sundays. We usually go with Manang Inday and Dimple so we can share the taxi fare but today they came later than us. Kuya Freddie came here last Friday to ask if he can ride in the taxi with us. He lives in the next subdivision and worships at a different congregation but since it’s Inter-congregational Fellowship, he and his 6 month-old son has to do a longer trip from here to the church. His wife works during Sundays at GMall so he has to bring his son all by himself to church. Even if she is off during Sundays, I don’t think she will come to worship with him since she was born and raised as Catholic. Kuya Freddie and his baby rides the “killer jeepneys” just to join the service so I was telling him that he needs a sling. I think we can give one as Christmas present. :-) So while we are on our way this morning, Donald and I were telling him that wearing his baby will really make things easier for him and probably he can ride a bike going to church. LOL Even if he was riding his mountain bike every single day going to and from work and even if he has insurance from the leading company offering the best life insurance lead, you can’t let him ride his bike with his unico hijo. Even the most daring person can get very nervous with a baby. :-)

Happy Mother’s day!

Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful moms in the world!

Thank you to my cousins, nephew and friends who greeted me today. Sorry guys I haven’t sent a reply because our cellphone has no minutes but I will see if I can send Donald to the store to load some minutes.

Eman’s first Sunday at church

I was meaning to post about Eman’s birth story but I can’t seem to find time to finish what I have started writing 4 days ago. I don’t have the luxury of time to blog now since Eman’s always calls me to feed him. :-) We are very happy that I am breastfeeding him because I failed to purely breastfed Ella before. Aside from getting nutrients that formulas don’t have, we could also save A LOT. ;-) Although the following day after his birth we fed him with formula using a small syringe because I still don’t have much milk yet, I am very thankful that I have enough milk now (and crossing my fingers and toes that the supply will last until he decides to eat rice) He wasn’t satisfied with what he can get from me on the second day (he is really a boy!) so we have to give him formula through syringe to prevent confusion between my nipple and the bottle’s nipple. Now I feel I am floating in the air because I can’t get enough sleep especially at night when I have to feed and change his diaper but I love it. It feels so good to hold him close to me and his smiles always delights us all. Read the rest of this entry »

I am back from Mt. Everest

Hi! Been off from blogging for a short while but it looks as though I’ve been on hiatus for weeks. As much as I wanted to blog, I couldn’t brought my rear on the computer chair. After ranting about my sore arm, my days are spent dosing on an off in bed like I’ve just came home from climbing the peak of Mt. Everest. Thank goodness I was able to gather little strength today that I went out of the house to do some yard work. After one hour outside, I went back lying in bed for 2 hours. Then took a shower and just in time that I got dressed, the wife of our church treasurer came by for a surprise visit to bring us a bag of chico (Sapodilla-one of my favorite fruit and my mother’s as well) and bananas. :-) Since she’s as chatty as I am, we spent the rest of the afternoon chatting until she remember she have to go home to prepare dinner for her FIL and son. :-) Donald, Ella and I went out with her to make sure she could safely get a ride home since it was pretty dark in here and our place is known for notorious residents.

I think I am dead

I am sorry I am not in my blogging mood tonight. I feel really tired from doing nothing but trying to complete the lacking hours of sleep last night. Donald and Ella have slept early at 2am  while I could not convince my eyes to shut down until almost half past three. I tried every sleeping position that a woman with big bulge could do but I ended up taking my laptop to bed to drain the battery (not of the laptop but of me). :-( Read the rest of this entry »

Beware: VERY LONG POST

I was hoping I could make this post as short as possible so as not to bore you all. The only thing that could make it possible would be to let pictures talk, so here goes my post about our 10 day vacation to Davao and Kabacan. ;-)

We left Trento at 11am last October 27. Donald was dreaming about boarding the King Long bus but we are not so lucky. Read the rest of this entry »

Teddy

We had no power today for 15 hours so we had real hard time because Ella could not live without a fan. It was still bearable in the morning when she was making a collage about The Creation because I let her do it in the living room. Since she is the only student I have today in Sunday School (the kid’s parents are in the ricefields and no one will bring them here), I decided to do the class inside the house. While Ella was doing her thing, I laid in bed because I still can’t move around very much. Then we joined the congregation in the worship service, trying to sit through out the service without feeling dizzy.

After the worship, Donald told Ella her other chicken died. I am glad she took it lightly. I asked her why she is not sad, she said it is fine because her chicken will still live in heaven. Two chicken down, three up. She actually buried it herself and put flower on top of the grave because Donald forgot to do it with some of the chores he ended up doing after the service.
