FUDA Cancer Hospital

We are watching Correspondence and it is already almost 1am.They are featuring FUDA Cancer Hospital located in Guangzhou, CHINA. I really thank the doctors of FUDA for bringing to the world the new and better approach to cancer. I lost my mom to cancer of the gallbladder and Donald lost his father to cancer of naso-pharynx so there is a chance that we can have this killer illness too. It runs in the blood and I admit I was afraid to have this illness because cancer to me means death. Watching tonight’s episode eased all the worries. Of course I have to watch my diet so as to prevent cancer since some food contains carcinogen. Read more… »

Yesterday was our monthly meal fellowship at church. We had a wonderful time chatting with Tatang Bob and Manang Barbara (a couple who has been in mission work here in the Philippines before Martial Law). They are very nice couple and I love them. I also got to see Ate Rose Shady. She’s one of the young people during our time and she was the most noisy and bubbly. Well after 4 years since I last saw her, nothing has really changed. LOL And oh there’s Mama Sophie too!!!! She’s my friend’s mom who was soooo nice to me and Donald too. She is our godmother during our wedding but she wasn’t able to come. The last time I saw her was when I went to Cotabato City to work on some papers for Mamang’s death. The NSO office is just beside their home so I dropped by and said hi, spent an hour chatting with her and her husband whom I also call Papa David.

But even if it was so good to see her again here, the reason why she’s here is not good. Her sister, Tita Day, was diagnosed of cancer. I talked to Tita Day the other Sunday and she said she felt a little lump on her right cheek that got bigger as time passes by. It’s already stage 3 but I admire her for her strength and humor. Donald was taking photos and he called her to join the group to which she quickly replied, “Sige para may remembrance kayo sa akin.” (Okay so you will have a remembrance of me).

Taking care of your colon

Many people are praying for the former Philippine President Corazon “Cory” Aquino who is suffering from colon cancer that was diagnosed last March 2008. It was already in the advance stage when it was diagnosed and after more than a year, she is in the hospital and is in a lot of pain according to her family. Although I was raised believing in the Marcoses, I come to realize all the good things that Pres. Cory has done to the nation. She is one of the Presidents of the country that has not been involved in controversies. Too bad that she hasn’t learned about her illness at an early stage. Cancer is in our family and I was thinking of ways to prevent it to hit me and I got some idea when I bumped on a  Colonix review
that I found online.

Hot heads

Our popcorn was a hit at Ella’s class! Tehee!!!! I packed popcorn in a small microwavable container and when she called there’s free popcorn, everyone ran to her and she wasn’t able to eat. So tonight she asked me if she could bring popcorn again tomorrow. When I gave her the permission, she climbed up the chair and filled the biggest container she found in the cabinet. I could not careless because she’s just making sure she can eat too. Read more… »

Let’s talk business

We had a very gloomy weather today with a lot of rain. I was wondering where the rain water did come from when it was raining the entire week. There’s not much of sunshine to drain the water and turn it to rain again. Well, that’s what we learn from our Science subject in 4th grade right? Read more… »
