DSC-W360 ~ Our new baby.

After much deliberation from Donald that we should get a new digital camera, I gave in and bought a new baby. But we cannot do that unless we sell one of our laptops. I told him to post an ad in Davaosale and see if someone responds. Well I am not really serious about selling it but I was so surprised that it was sold. Someone responded a few hours after the ad was posted and it was sold the next day. Well. since Donald was right about me needing a new camera for my little business, we spent the proceeds for a DSC-W360 from Sony and I am loving it. I still have to play a little more with it so I can get the photos I wanted. Our old but reliable DSC-W80 is still our baby. I am still carrying it in my purse whenever we go out so it won’t get jealous. LOL

What made me choose this is the wide angle lense and the fact that I can take panoramic shots without me manually stitching several photos. When Donald bugs me about something, he really knows how to lure me into buying it. Of course not all. He cannot get me into buying gadgets and stuffs for hobbies like atv riding
. Maybe he could when we have all the money in the banks. :D

Two monkeys

Still am tired from our trip to our hometown to visit my mother’s (and loved one’s) grave sites for the All Soul’s Day. It was unplanned trip because I already have told everyone we are not coming but last Saturday, I was dropping some hints that I wanted to go. Donald was very sensitive when it comes to going home so I never have to tell to him directly. He even wanted to leave the same day but I have to dome some sewing first and we have to fix some things here in the house before leaving for a short vacation. I thought I left the camera because I can’t find it in my bag. Donald didn’t show any disappointment though but I know he was and I was! we waited for three nearly two hours before all the seats were filled and out of boredom I tried digging in my bag and found it under my clothes. Wohooo!!!! We could have missed taking these shots Read the rest of this entry »

Cinderella: Cebuano Version

I finally got hold of my fabric and spent most of the on my cloth diaper project. I was too excited that I let Donald check if the package has arrived from Davao so after dropping Ella to school, he went straight to LBC. He said their reason of not being able to deliver it yesterday is valid because their courier van goes straight to San Franscisco, a one hour drive past here, bringing all the packages that are supposed to be dropped here. I don’t get the point of wasting gas driving past here and bringing the packages back. Anyway, I am happy that I can continue making diapers for Emmanuel yet I really could not understand why I always get short with it when I have carefully measured the length that I needed putting a half meter allowance. It happened again! I am such a moron. :-( So instead of whining, I make use of the scraps again. Read the rest of this entry »

Join acobay now!

Since my sister and BIL purchased their DSLR camera, they have been going crazy over it. They have just purchased their third lense (I guess) but there is no problem with that since they don’t have a child of their own. Let them baby their camera. ;-) Donald has been asking me if I wanted one like it and I said NAH! That was when I was not yet pregnant with baby #2, now that I am my answer would be NAAAAAAH!!!!!  I am settled with our Sony DSCW80 and if I would ever need to have better portrait of my Ella and the baby, I will just borrow it or let my sister take the pictures. ;-) Although it is so much fun to join their group (don’t know the name….all I know is that ALL member are crazy over their cameras too) and learn techniques on photography, we cannot afford it and it would be of no use here in the province. A day with the animals

Last October 1 was Auntie Carmen’s (my sister Crislyn’s MIL) 57th birthday. We happen to be there again like the past 5 years or six maybe. The plan is to meet with Auntie Carmen and Uncle Tony for dinner at a buffet restaurant near the Mall so we (Donald, Ella, Crislyn and BIL) decided to kill the time during the day by going to the Crocodile Farm. We have been there before when Ella had their excursion trip two years ago. That time we just borrowed a camera from Donald’s cousin and I presume they have deleted the photos before we could upload it. So I asked my sister if she wanted to go there and she and BIL agreed since they have their SLR and they could very well use it there. ;-)

Fun at the beach

I am glad Donald got my sister Crislyn to do photo sharing of our Davao escapades this morning so I could blog about it now. ;-) It will be photo studded and a quite long post but I will try to make it as short as possible so I won’t bore you guys. I will try…but I cannot promise. Read the rest of this entry »
