The LEE’s

I was wondering the other day why I was rushing to get all the cloth diapers done like I was preparing for something that I am not certain of. The baby won’t show up until April yet I felt the need to finish the sewing project. Donald and I stayed up until 2am yesterday and I was awakened by a call at quarter past 5. Since I just have dozed off, I am in a not-so-normal state of mind while I was trying to reach for the cellphone on the table. It was my SIL’s number and I knew right then what was it. My FIL went home to the Lord at the age of 59.

My FIL called this morning, asking if Donald could send via LBC the CD of the pictures that was taken in his little farm two weeks ago. Since we are going there probably Monday, Donald said he would just drop it on their house so he could pick up the chicken. So I realized there’s so many things that I haven’t yet told you about our trip to Bukidnon. We brought Ella’s two chicken, the white ones, because Ella didn’t let us butcher them on my birthday and I do not want to leave them to the neighbor’s again. Donald packed them inside a box and luckily they survived the long trip. If they only knew what their fate could be, they must’ve plotted a plan to escape while they were still here and if that plan failed, they could have hung themselves or maybe drown themselves in their waterer. What’s with the horses?

I don’t know what’s with the horses that kids would really go oohhh and aahhhs when they see one and would beg, really really beg to ride it. Ella has been dying to have a ride and when I told her that I once experienced it when I was 7 when we went for a vacation at Daddy’s hometown, she’s asking me when she could go there too. When we went to my FIL’s little farm in Bukidnon almost two weeks ago, she saw a brown horse grazing beyond the farm’s fence and she was itching to go near it. If the owner was in sight, I could have asked if Ella could get a short ride just so she would stop ranting about it. Then I remember the Gap farm in Davao City. We’ve been there when Ella was turning two and I ‘ve seen they offer horse back riding to the public. Read more… »

Ella’s ordeal

It will be one week since we went to Bukidnon for the supposed to be a happy family reunion ( more updates on my later posts) ;-) and yet I have not written a decent post about it. Maybe because I was so tired and it was an ordeal for me and for Ella and Donald as well. The trip going there itself was so long that I have said I would never ever go back there anytime soon. We left home last Friday at 8:30am just in time to catch the 9am King Long bus but it didn’t arrive until 10am. :-( There are several non-airconditioned bus that went ahead but it would be so hard for me to get settled in their very uncomfortable seat. We were looking forward to a very long trip so we need to be comfortable especially me because my bump is getting bigger.

Let’s talk business

We had a very gloomy weather today with a lot of rain. I was wondering where the rain water did come from when it was raining the entire week. There’s not much of sunshine to drain the water and turn it to rain again. Well, that’s what we learn from our Science subject in 4th grade right? Read more… »
