I am not feeling well today. I guess it’s the over-exertion from holding Eman. He is becoming more and more active and when he’s on my lap, he tries to reach for things that he finds interesting. He also have this attitude of making his head fall back when he can’t get what he wanted. Well I am the mother and he can’t get his way. I am giving him a swat on the leg and tell him it’s not good each time he does that. He’s 9 months and he’s not too young for discipline. So there you go, nip it in the bud.

So the whole morning I was feeling sick. Donald gave me a massage and he said what I needed is a joy ride. I don’t want to be called a wet blanket so I agreed. We went to Mintal taking the back road as usual. The afternoon breeze was cold and I somehow felt better. We wanted to eat so we looked around for a resto that serves Pansit Guisado and the like and so we did some kind of a little tour because we are not yet familiar with the place. While we are looking around I told Donald about the fellow blogger, Chikai, who grew up in that place. Last night I scoured her blog for the post she did many months ago when her grandma died. It has photos of their house. I was lucky to have found it last night so I told Donald about it and he was interested in finding it too. I knew the name of the street but we didn’t get around to asking people where it can be found because on our next turn I saw a house that I thought their house (I mean her parent’s house - since she is married and is based in the US now). But the house is not like what I saw in the pictures…..theirs is green and beside it is their grandma’s house. We are slowly moving and as we got near the curb, I saw a very familiar house. I hope we could get the PC in Trento so Donald and I can work at the same time while we are here in Davao. For the time being, he works and I blog each time I got the chance. Since I am planning to buy 5 more domain names, I really need the PC badly. That is the only thing I wanted to get in the province aside from some of our Sunday dresses. I don’t care about the mattresses and other stuffs for now as long as we can work full time here then there is no problem.

When we were still in the hospital, doctors and nurses ask me what is my profession. It is not easy for us to fill up forms and answer questions because not too many knew about BLOGGING. It is difficult to explain how we earn from it and what kind of job it is. Maybe to some it is easy but to me it isn’t. Blogging and having an online job. People would even ask if it is the same as call center agents like that of fulfillment center. I wish soon blogging will be known to all.

Everytime I open the tube, the global financial crisis is always on the headline news which drives most people insane. I think it just makes the situation worst with the people taking out their investments and deposits from the banks and businesses. They go about like the end of the world is nearing. Business owners are gone crazy too how to handle the situation. I could feel the blow too but I don’t really panic like the business owners out there since I stay at home and earn from blogging. In a month I will be celebrating the first birthday of my blog. Yay! It’s like I’ve just started blogging yesterday. Oh where, oh where did the time go? Thanks to my sister Crislyn who taught me blogging 101. I remember the sleepless nights that  I spent tweaking my theme which ended up in a fatal error. ;The price I got from wanting more from the free theme that I have  downloaded. I also got the chance to learn more about parenting, crafts and everything else. I also found some blogs that I’ve been attached to and kept on checking for updates about their personal lives. I remember too when I went crazy on blinkies and pasted everything that I liked on my blog so it wouldn’t look so bare. Read more… »

Look! A new theme! I don’t know what got into me. All I know is that Donald has been bugging me for days about what theme would look great on his blog. Since I haven’t installed FTP (file transfer protocol), he asked my sister Crislyn to help him out but there was some problems on her end too. I tried copy pasting the code from my my own files of themes but it didn’t work. Then I found this brown theme that looks appealing to me so why not try it? I decided to change theme for just for a day or two. (Although I am hoping I could find a theme that would be forever) Oh yes, he’s been writing on his own blog. Such a jealous guy! He said he wanted to have one because he’s jealous that I have a social life. Interacting with fellow bloggers is a social life for him since we live here in Mars. But I know the real reason behind it was he wanted to have a blog so he could also post some embarassing photos of me like I did to him HERE. Anyway, I just gave in to his wants because I am afraid he might loose his sanity.

Was Obama’s inaugural address hit me bulls eye that I stayed until 5am? He said we should all work hard and so I blogged until the wee hours…..but no, I doubt if it was just the sole reason. I guess the blue mountain has something to do with it. I lost money and so I blogged to compensate for it. Even Donald was bit disappointed when he read about it here and told me I could have just kept it myself so he wouldn’t know. Then he was teasing me that it could buy 3 gallons of ice cream. Maybe he was right that I should have kept my mouth shut but hey, there’s no one I could vent to when I found out that I am $15 poorer and so I blogged about it with high hopes that blue mountain could read it and refund my hard earned money. Just kidding. I am not expecting for a refund but honestly I am not yet through with my sentiments over that $15. It’s enough that I have learned my lesson and so now I am into collecting all the email addresses I could so I could start using my one year blue mountain subscription.

I was multitasking tonight. Doing my pending posts, talking to Donald, scratching Ella’s back and chatting with Bona, my childhood friend. I had fun chatting with her. She asked me how to make money through blogging and so I shared the best knowledge I had and that is to get a domain name. Honestly, I don’t know where to start and so I said that but I referred her to my sister because she is more knowledgeable than me about this matter. Bona has actually a blog in friendster so it won’t be hard for her to start writing. She wrote a wonderful Christmas story and who else are the stars but us. I was flattered to know that she reads my blog everyday. Yay! I told her that Donald has been wanting to get his own domain so he could blog too. Read more… »

What could I say but “Hello there!!! Happy New Year to all!!!!” after almost two weeks of being too lazy to blog. Finally, I got some little push from Donald to blog and because we are back here in the province. We spent a long and wonderful holiday vacation in the city and I apologize to my dear computer for being neglected while we were there. I know, I know…..I do not have any reasons not to blog because we brought this very desktop there so I could still while we were there so don’t make me feel guilty. I just couldn’t get myself to write even a short post. All I did was sleep, eat and just laze around, enjoying every moment of being away from this place. I even feel very HUGE and HEAVY after two weeks which makes me feel really really really pregnant. I have lots of stuff to write about our holidays on my next posts and I’ll try my best to remember everything. For now, I have to do some blog hopping first.

As much as I want to make this blog as personal journal as I wanted it to be, I could not resist monetizing it. But I will try to make it as personal as I could. Please be patient with me because I needed some moolah. My sister Crislyn sent me a YM message last night that there are many opps up for grab. I was in bed then trying to get Ella to sleep and Donald was infront of the pc so he did the hunting but there’s nothing available opps on our end. My sister offered to open my account and found nothing but she said to wait and so we waited until I finally grabbed one. Finally, because I don’t have the luck before.
