Last month we have been down with flu for a couple of weeks. I am still breastfeeding the little guy and that makes me feel the guilt to take any medicine. So last June 26 we went to the beach to get the kids (and ourselves) dipped in the sea water with high hopes that we will all shake the cough and colds away naturally.

Ella was not very happy because the sand is not white LOL

Donald spent the entire time with them playing and walking on the shore.
It was unplanned. I just told Donald I wanted to bring the kids to a beach near our place so we all left after half an hour. Donald, I and the kids rode our reliable two-wheels while Cheche hopped on a bus. We have not found a nice and clean beach near our place so we ended up going farther than we thought…at Tabing Dagat beach resort in Sta. Cruz. Funny because Cheche almost got lost if Donald didn’t wait on the highway.

Eman checking out the place one more time before we left.
I planned to swim but Cheche and I didn’t get around to it. We just sat and ate while the three played in the water. Donald was making fun of Ella that her flu is gone because she accidentally drank sea water. LOL We arrived there at around 2pm and we stayed for a couple of hours. Going home was not very easy since the two kids slept and I have to hold Ella while Eman is on the sling but it was a nice ride though. Lots of horses grazing just beside the road and we were on 30kph only. The trip is not anything close to Disney vacations but Ella and Eman will surely remember it as a memorable “family time”. I wish we could do it often.

I am such a good procrastinator and I have proved that for the nth time. Read more… »

Mt. Apo’s majestic view from Paradise Island
Oh my goodness. It’s already the 4th of January yet I have not blogged about our New Year’s celebration. Well, we are all crazy over beaches (note: white sand beaches that is) and we all so wanted to spend a day or two there last Christmas but our resources won’t permit. But that didn’t stop us from planning….and so we are talking about it non-stop right after Christmas. My sister will be getting her bonus before New Year so there is still a slight sign that we are really going.

My mother and her sisters favorite past time is doing CONFERENCE. When my mom was still alive, she would spend time with them every afternoon in the hut infront of my aunt’s store. It is like a protocol that after everyone’s day, they will gather at the hut for a chit chat about the latest buzz. Well it’s basically about the family members that was not there. hahahahahahahahahahaha!
Last December 22 we had this informal reunion. I said in my previous post that it is not the reunion you would want because we are not complete. It’s only a few who made it and I wish next time everyone (or at least most of us) can come. While the guys and gals are busy chatting, the oldies (joined by my cousin Manang Tessie and a niece) are having their conference again but it’s so different because it’s in the water.

See? They said they will go swimming eh? I wonder who are they talking about? LOL
Anyhoo, I have to get going. Deadline is just in a few minutes so I am in a rush to do a little reading about
Anilox cleaning. The little boy is playing in his playpen and soon will be calling me again. Bye for now!

It’s been like ages since I last wrote a post. Like I always say, it is not easy for me to blog when there is too much to blog about. There was the visit at UP Mindanao, the reunion (well not quite the reunion you would want) with some cousins, some aunts, some nephews and nieces and the Christmas celebration with my father, sisters and BIL. During the reunion, we just had a simple get together at Mergrande Beach Resort where Eman had his first beach experience. He had a blast and that is what I never expected. I thought he would cry and be afraid of the waters but I was so wrong. The moment he saw the waters, he was rocking his body back on forth as if to help us reach the water faster. LOL

It was a long day yesterday. Our cousin and her whole family was here at my sister’s and BIL’s apartment since Saturday to attend the graduation rites of her husband (Manong Nolan) who finished his master’s degree and their daughter (Mgel) in her bachelor’s degree in UIC (University of Immaculate Conception). We are already up at half past 3 in the morning. My sister Crislyn was tagged along as one of the escorts of Manong Nolan and they left the apartment when the dawn was still breaking while Cheche, Donald and I went back to sleep right after they are gone. Just after noon time they were already here and we had lunch together then we all prepared to go to the resort to spent the night. My uncle, Papang Alfred, was there also and we are glad to see him. He’s been very ill with diabetes and other complications. Ella was so happy that she was able to swim again and enjoy the company of relatives. I was feeling so tired so hot since the other day so I joined the kids in the water and at 7pm, we were back in the cottage for dinner. The food is good and we had great time talking. Crislyn and BIL went home while Cheche and us stayed overnight. I had difficulty getting to the bathroom and was having contractions the whole time. Thankfully I finally dozed off after hours of trying to sleep. Read more… »

I am glad Donald got my sister Crislyn to do photo sharing of our Davao escapades this morning so I could blog about it now.
It will be photo studded and a quite long post but I will try to make it as short as possible so I won’t bore you guys. I will try…but I cannot promise.

It’s getting hotter everyday and I almost can’t stand the summer heat :-( We wanted to go Samal or Talicud Island and spend even just a day or two there. I love the white beache and crystal clear water, grilled fish, chips and coke…..
