Some improvements

This morning Eman and I went with Donald and Ella to school. We didn’t stay there actually but instead we went to Ate Lourdes’ house which is just across the street. Ate Lou is the wife of the church treasurer and she and her husband are one of the nicest couples that I ever met. They treat us like family and they adored Ella and Eman so much.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful moms in the world!

Thank you to my cousins, nephew and friends who greeted me today. Sorry guys I haven’t sent a reply because our cellphone has no minutes but I will see if I can send Donald to the store to load some minutes.

health issues

Nothing interesting happened today but I got some bad news. My cousin, Manang Inday, sent me an IM saying my grandfather was brought home from the hospital because his body won’t take in any medication at all. What made it worst is that he is vomiting blood. He was once a very healthy man but when he came back from the the US (he is a WWII veteran), he came home with some health issues that lead him to what he is going through now at the age of 87.

Her treasured moments

Ella was having some “drama episodes” last night because she has been scolded for being so strong willed. She deserves it but then like Manang Barbara (our godmother) said, Ella is special and we have to work with her to love her brother.  So while she lay on her bean bag watching tv, she was surprised when I propped the boppy pillow and laid Eman on top of her.

day 21

It was like yesterday when I first met this little guy and each day he brings joy to the whole family. It’s really different to have a baby at home (add to it is a sweet big sister who is very protective of her little bro). He turned 21 days old today and here’s some of his weekly photos that I would like to share.

The left and the right

Donald uploaded on Youtube the video I took of Eman and his pacifier. Can’t resist sharing this here. :-)

Nothing interesting happened today but one thing frustrates me and that is my breast (I must say TWO things…the left and the right) Eman had two bottles of two ounces each tonight because he isn’t contented with what he gets. He wets his diapers 6 to 8 times a day and poops 4 to 6 times a day which is a sign that he gets enough milk but he still would cry. I’d check if he’s wet and for whatever is causing his fussiness and when I put my cheek near the side of his mouth, he would attempt to suck it. Read more… »

His smile

After days of trying to capture Eman’s smile while he sleeps, I am so delighted that I finally had some snaps taken late this afternoon with his most sweet and angelic smile.

I was meaning to post about Eman’s birth story but I can’t seem to find time to finish what I have started writing 4 days ago. I don’t have the luxury of time to blog now since Eman’s always calls me to feed him. :-) We are very happy that I am breastfeeding him because I failed to purely breastfed Ella before. Aside from getting nutrients that formulas don’t have, we could also save A LOT. ;-) Although the following day after his birth we fed him with formula using a small syringe because I still don’t have much milk yet, I am very thankful that I have enough milk now (and crossing my fingers and toes that the supply will last until he decides to eat rice) He wasn’t satisfied with what he can get from me on the second day (he is really a boy!) so we have to give him formula through syringe to prevent confusion between my nipple and the bottle’s nipple. Now I feel I am floating in the air because I can’t get enough sleep especially at night when I have to feed and change his diaper but I love it. It feels so good to hold him close to me and his smiles always delights us all. Read more… »
