My son is not a goat

At last I was able to explore farther in the back of the house. I can’t say it’s our backyard since our yard ends a few feet from the kitchen’s doorstep. hehehehe. I know there is a river down that cliff near the house but I never had the guts to go down there. When the kids woke up from their afternoon nap (and Donald was still snoring), I let them wear their pajamas and grabbed the camera so we can see even a bit of it.

There is the house, the second yellow house from right. Because of the tree covering part of the house, I can’t get a good view so I decided now is the chance to get a glimpse up close.

Two front teeth

Photobucket

Yes our little guy has two front teeth!!!! He has been cutting his second tooth since last Wednesday. I didn’t know it until the other day when I checked if there is another tooth coming out because he’s been more fussy than before. He cries a lot and bites a lot too but he is still a very good baby when he’s asleep. LOL

I am in a rush…..trying to check on the site that sells safe and reliable box cutter for packaging needs.

Cutting a tooth

If Ella will soon to be toothless, Eman will soon to have his first! Yeah, he is cutting a tooth and I noticed it this morning. He is pretty fussy and everything we do cannot pacify him.

Pink

I have so much to blog about that I didn’t know where to start. There are so many good things happened that I don’t know if I am just dreaming. First, orders kept coming in the way I didn’t expect but really really wanted. After delivering the orders last Sunday, I was praying nobody will call me about wanting cloth diapers or baby slings because laundry piled up in the other room and if you’ve been following my blog…you know I don’t want to do it one batch at a time. So God heard it and he really didn’t send anyone my way for orders. Someone did asked for a quote for diapers and a sling while on our way home that night and I was happy she still need a little time since she can’t access my multiply site for the fabric and sizing. So yesterday I spent more than 12 hours doing the laundry. Imagine that! :-)

Little fingers

Photobucket

Oh yeah! Our little guy now knows how to do the classic “close-open” thing (and I think he is back to his old self who loves the camera).  maybe if I could have devoted more time in teaching him that, he could have learned to do it earlier because I have been showing him how to do it for just less than a minute two or three times a day. I do not know if this is taught to babies in other parts of the globe. Basically, it’s the opening and closing of the hand while you sing “Close open…close…open” over and over again until your baby gets tired or bored. LOL

I still did it yesterday but he just looked at the movement of my hand. I would hold his wrist so he would know that I wanted him to follow me but he will just stare at it blankly. This morning was a surprise. He moved his tiny fingers in “close-open” motion! You should see him move his tiny fingers while I sing the song. So cute!!!!  Love you balong! You make me so proud! The Daddy is so proud too that his son now knows something other than eating. hahahahaha! of course he knows more than eating and ‘close-open’. He’s very smart baby and nobody dare argue with me because this is my OWN blog. hahahahaha!

Three, four and five

It’s the first time we have not put Eman in his hammock and he’s not so happy with it. We got him a crib mobile this morning so he can easily adjust. He’s been taking naps on his hammock and it sure does feel a lot different than in a crib that’s stationary. In the afternoon he slept there without problem but he went crying so loudly like he’s been pricked my a pin on the butt tonight. :-( Am glad he’s already sleeping so soundly in there. When Ella went home from school this noon she saw the mobile that hasn’t been set yet. She was smiling and talked to her little brother about the beautiful surprise he’ll get. There’s no way I will assemble it without a clear instruction in the box….I am afraid I might break it so Donald went back to the store to ask the saleslady to assemble it for us. So when it’s all set, we tried it and Eman was just as happy as the big sister. I never heard her complain about not getting anything which she usually does. But of course we also bought her a hoola hoop that’s she’s asking for a long time. We got it for around $1.5. She has been very patient in waiting for us to get her one and she deserves it for the number of times she got perfect score in their quizzes. While Eman was inside the crib, she was standing beside it like she’s wanting to get in there too. I can tell it by the look of her eyes and I kept telling Donald (in English so she won’t understand LOL) about it. Donald got what I meant so he stood and lifted her inside the crib. She was really thrilled and couldn’t believe she’s shared it with Eman. :-)

Has been raining since 5pm this afternoon. We were at a birthday party of one of the brethren’s son. I could still recall we were also there last year which is just like yesterday. We were three then and now we are four. I just hope we won’t be five next year. Not yet. LOL

Busy day

It’s past 1am now and I am still up. Though I am really sleepy and would want to hit the bed, I still have some tasks to do. Yesterday was such a long day for us here. I was so tired but at least we are very productive today. Not in the virtual world but in real life. Hahahahaha! Had less time farming because we did the laundry and sanded Eman’s crib afterwards. Well the most work goes to Donald (applause everyone!) since I have to answer Eman’s call from time to time. The crib was planned a couple of months ago. When Donald saw the neighbor making a crib, he asked me to look at it and right there and then we ordered a bigger one for our growing piglet. It is 28″x52″ size mahogany crib for only P1,000.00. It is a lot cheaper than a store bought one but we will be the one to sand and gloss it. We thought it was an easy and very fun job but nah we were wrong! We still have a lot of sweat to shed before Eman could finally enjoy his new haven but at least we saved a LOT. ;-)

Poor little guy

Poor Eman……I think he has colds now which he got from me. When his hay fever kicked in few days ago, I had colds the next day which is due to the weather. Although I was trying not to give him the virus, that is very impossible since I am nursing him which requires me to get near him and hold him. No matter how I wash my hands, still he got it and I hate it when baby’s sick. He can’t breath and it became worst tonight. :-( I missed smelling his sweet smelling breath. Wish I will be well soon so we could play catch-the-nose again. Anway, I have to do some fast uploading of some photos from the camera while the little guy is sleeping. Donald was asking me not to take so much photos of the kids because if I get used to it, by next time we will be traveling without the laptop, we will need to get one of those memory sticks I found online.

Today is my mom’s 3rd death anniversary and like last year, we were not able to visit her gravesite. Looking back on the same day three years ago, I still can vividly recall what has happened and the pain is still there…..unchanged. We all wanted to be there but it won’t be practical and I know Mamang understands. Anyway, we visited her gravesite last month during my grandfather’s wake. Going back home will be difficult for us with our tight budget and with a very fussy little man. If only we have enough money to get us by until next month (that is after enrollment and Ella’s birthday), we could have gone home to be with my family and relatives. Also, we need to bring Eman to his pedia. It’s been two days now that Eman has some severe gas issues, or so I thought. We’ve been doing the tricks that I found on the internet but it doesn’t helped as much as it did. I could get him to sleep after helping him pass gas before but yesterday was different. He cries, wanting to be held upright always and he pooped 6 times which is unusual since he now have regular bowel movement which is once or twice a day.

Since Philippines celebrates death anniversaries, I bought half watermelon (can’t afford the whole because it weighs more than 7 kilos) and half kilo chicken. We have a pack of barbeque mix that’s sitting in the cabinet for so long so for dinner we had CHICKEN BARBEQUE (PORK FLAVOR). I am so dumb buying chicken when what we have is pork barbeque mix. But in fairness it tasted sooooo good! And the watermelon that I am dreaming about is sooooo sweet. We set aside the seeds so we could plant it in the yard. Twenty-five pesos a kilo is very expensive so we will be planting our own watermelon. Read more… »
