Ring Slings
At last I got this package from Rochelle Price, the owner of SlingRings. Soon there will be ring slings up for sale in my store, the Home of Handmade Goodies.
It contains 50 pairs of rings for my ring slings.
They shipped my order from Laveen, Arizona last February 12 and the package was already received by Davao Post Office on the 28th. As expected, the parcel notice was delivered here at home yesterday after 9 days of sitting on their desk. If you ever need to know what a “snail mail” means, try the Philippine Postal Corporation’s service and you would certainly know.
Another business plan
I was up until 3 in the morning looking at photos of cakes. Donald brought up the idea of baking cakes and pastries again and I remember when I wrote about some wild thoughts October of 2008. I really wanted to learn how to bake especially cakes and we actually have a plan on buying oven and baking equipments before Eman was born. Then came Eman March the following year along with the unexpected hospital bill and the bills that came from him being hospitalized for three times last August 2009. I have no regrets at all because I can trade all the material things for the life and health of my kids. And came the idea of baking again which I think would be a great business. Well I have proven that getting into a business don’t have to be big. It should be something that you love to do and baking is not difficult to love. Who could resist the cakes?????? I fell in love with fondant icing. I can’t wait to get my hands to it.
There is one thing that made me have second thoughts. It was having a handful to do. I have sew cloth diapers and baby slings plus I make personalized gift items. I told Donald that maybe we are jumping from one project to another…..but he said doing that is not good if we have not perfected the craft and yet start another thing again. He said I have perfected the sewing and hand-painting of gift items so to start a baking business is not a bad idea. That I really need to hear from him so I won’t feel guilty.
Why not try? After all all of the successful entrepreneurs does not focus on one business only. So we are now buying an oven for me to bake cakes and cupcakes. I am so excited! I wish I can bake cakes and cupcakes for Eman’s 1st birthday.

Been silent for days
Well, hello there. No I am not dead. We’ve been going out of the house for 4 days in a row buying materials for my little business. Right now all I want to do is to focus on one thing. There are so much stuff to do and yet so little time. I am wishing there are hgh supplement that a breastfeeding Mom like me can take. I need that health and stamina booster. Laundry is piling up again, a couple of orders needs to be delivered and materials I have purchased before needs to get measured and recorded before we start our new business venture. Well it is not big. I will just release next month my new products. I will soon have laptop sleeves, laptop/diaper/camera bag and nursing covers in addition to my cloth diapers and baby slings. Pinoy Apple Juice
That is what the name of my online store. PINOY APPLE JUICE. (Love to have an online store…no need for tarps, display windows or cardboard displays to make some sales). Lord-willing that will also be the brand name of my cloth diapers and baby slings. I named it after this little guy’s love for apples.
See that bite and the eyelashes? LOL
Managing my little business
Christmas will be in 8 days and I am not yet done with gift shopping for Donald, the kids, sisters, BIL and Daddy. well I already bought something for Daddy but I want to add a few stuffs in it. Ella has already some gifts from us and there will be no problem with buying for Eman since he can’t understand yet.
I am quite glad I have no orders this week and I was able to sew jammies for Ella and do the laundry today. (Donald helped me with the half of it because the little guy wanted Mommy which I am thankful for. He saved me!) LOL So hopefully this weekend we can do some little shopping to complete the list.
It’s been a while that I was thinking of pursuing my little business. My first plan was not to outsource nor hire someone to help me with all the work yet as orders poured in, I thought outsourcing is a good idea. Better than hiring someone who will work beside me. But then I always have a doubt if I can handle a big business without any background in business administration. This is where Las Vegas CPA comes in. I heard they are the most respected leaders in the world of financial account so there would be no worries managing your business.Well, I am taking it slowly but surely…..hoping someday I will be able to get this business to a higher level.
Fussy baby in the house
I am so full. We had shrimps, crabs and lechon (roasted pig) for dinner. The neighbor invited us to her son’s birthday and she saw me sewing surrounded with a huge mess. So she said she will just bring food for us but wanting Ella to go there for some games. In just a few moments food was delivered by their househelp and Donald’s eyes are sparkling. hehehehehe. Thankies neighbor! Forgot her name because I seldom go out of the house.
I am working on an order from a doctor based in Mandaluyong and it’s feeding time again for the little guy. I decided to blog a bit so I wouldn’t be catching up about many things going on here. I do not know if Eman is cutting his second tooth but I guess he is. He was very fussy yesterday. He is down with colds and have some episodes of slight fever. We went out yesterday to do some delivery and that helped a lot in easing his pain. Read the rest of this entry »
Family treat
Wow, I can’t believe I am still awake! I was about to just call it a night but the massage was so good it awakened my nerves. I am just sooooooo lucky to have a private masseur and hubby in one. So we all went downtown to meet Melody, the lady who ordered the cloth diapers and baby sling. Last night, Donald was working on the computer while waiting for me to get it all done. If not because of Eman who called to eat at 4am, I could have not gone to bed. By 8am he was up and about and was crawling over me to reach for her sleeping big sister. I was still really sleepy and my eyes are still half shut but I am holding him so he won’t hit his head on the wall or fell on the floor. When you are breastfeeding, your baby at this age can conveniently feed himself even if you are asleep. Yes Eman has already mastered that and he also woke me by a sharp pain by his gums clenching on my nipple. I almost shouted with pain when he did that but I don’t have the energy to do that so I just pulled him from my breast and next thing I knew is he was on my other breast and was squeezing it. It’s in the name
One more assignment to go and I am all done for now. Tomorrow I will be meeting Davao’s best Lamaze instructor, Ms. Alex Hao, to show her my cloth diapers. I am so happy and excited because she was the one who asked me if we could meet!!! I hope she will like my crafts.
Last night I also exchanged emails with Mitch, a fellow blogger, who happen to see my diapers. But she admitted she don’t wanna have something to do with cloth diapers instead asked me if I can come up with baby slings. It’s a good timing because that is what I am thinking too! So after I meet Ms. Alex tomorrow noon, I will look for a fabric for my slings. It should be durable of course and I want to try it first with Eman. I wish we have a huge fabric store here like they have abroad, or even online store would be great. Thanks for all the well wishers! Also to all the wonderful bloggers and my sister Crislyn who will be spreading the word about my handmade stuffs. Wohoo! I wishy wishy that I will be successful this time so we could get Medicare supplement insurance for the whole family. One big problem now is the name. I would want to get a DTI permit for a business name. Does anyone have an idea?
Eman’s new discovery
We got a chance to chat with my sister Crislyn and she and Cheche saw Ella and Eman on the webcam. Cheche cried because she missed Eman.
Well, she has the shallowest tears among us three. Eman has sweet talked her tita Crislyn (was it him or his mommy?) in buying a baby carrier. He is growing heavier each second and I can’t work or move around holding him with just one hand. So wearing a carrier is a great idea. Tita Crislyn had a YES on that. Yay! We are pretty excited.
.
To Tita Cheche……here’s some more photos to make you cry.
Feeling sooooooo bored
