Why do I cannot keep my weight at a desired level???? Last time I weighed, which was one week ago, I was 50 kilograms. After three days, I came down with fever and flu, swollen sinuses and tonsils and what makes it worst is my very annoying post nasal drip that never allows me to sleep at night. And since I am feeling under the weather lately, I developed cold sores due to my sickness and stress. I was boasting last time that I gain weight and that maybe someday I will be needing fenphedrine to trim down but I guess that is not happening. Poor me! Praying that tonight I can sleep and eat well.
So another opportunity is knocking our door. One of the commercial spaces infront of our apartment (which is owned by our landlord) will be up for rent. Donald and I was waiting for that since we moved here third week of April…but now that it is finally vacant, I am trying to convince myself that we can manage two outlets. One is the tent at the park and one here just near the apartment. Downpayment is not a problem as well as what we should sell (which is of course ukay-ukay). What bothers me is who will be the one to man the store. I am afraid of hiring someone who might be stealing from us in the end. I need to be at the tent because Donald doesn’t know the pricing well especially during Mondays and Wednesdays which is the days we have new stocks. How about getting a receipt printer so we can know for sure that the store attendant is not stealing from the sales? That would be awesome but very very expensive. Now I need to find one that is reliable and honest so we will try to do business together. My goal is not just to earn more but to give a job to other people too. So help me God. 
If I am going to ask what do I want to do in life….that is to sell ukay-ukay. I am not kidding. I really love doing it. It brings unexplainable feeling of happiness everytime I open a bale. I don’t feel tired for a whole day talking and calculating in my head how much one has to pay and how much change must I give. I agree with part of the American dream: Making a great living doing what you love. If some enjoys tech jobs, I think I will never ever be as happy as selling ukay-ukay. Right now, sales are picking up and I hope it will be like this for years so we can save for some stuffs that we wanted to acquire. This I also owe to my supplier who allows us to get class A bales. We are just so lucky. People are amazed at how nice our stuffs. Of course they are from US. Clean, smells nice, looks great and carried signature brands. One thing that makes me love it is because my Mom loves ukay-ukay. When I was in elementary and I needed to ask her for something but she has left for the market, I went straight to the ukay-ukay tents and there she was! If she is only alive, she would really be as happy as me to look at the stuffs we are selling.
Today is Dad and Mom’s wedding anniversary. If she has lived to this day, they are married for 33 years already. As I was walking with Ella this afternoon to the salon to for a haircut, we passed by a line of flower stalls. The smell of roses and mums reminds me of my Mom. If she is still alive, a bouquet of white flowers from Birmingham flower delivery for Mother’s day would surely make her happy. She loves flowers…fresh flowers. She plants and harvest her own bouquet of orchids and anthuriums for her table in her classroom. When she died, all that was brought were fresh flowers from family and friends. It is just so sad that we live far from her gravesite. When we still live near, I use to visit her gravesite to bring fresh flowers for her vase and water her plants but when we moved, every plant died. 
But hey, she is enjoying all the beautiful flowers up in heaven.
We got someone selling ukay-ukay comforters at the park who became a friend. She ordered two bales of pillow cases and household rummages from our supplier. I was waiting for her yesterday because I need some stuffs from her bales. My sister Crislyn is also a fan of household rummages like me. You can find anything you needs from curtains, valances, table runners, fireplace mantels, toilet seat covers, doormats, rugs, aprons, hankies, tablecloth, table napkin and many more. She opened the bale at their house and the neighbors and family got all the nice stuffs. I wish our apartment is just next to theirs so I can get my hands on it first.
In a couple of days will be Pacquiao VS Mosley fight. I am not really a fan of Manny but I cannot help but scream and be proud when he is inside the ring fighting for another title. Of course between him and Mosley, I will bet for Manny because he is Pinoy. 
And hey, his skills is really something that no one can easily surpass. The rigid training makes him fit. I do not know if he uses muscle stimulator now but I saw him wearing a gadget during his training on his previous fight. I am getting nervous for him. I hope he will win and if he will, I wish he will stop going inside the ring and just retire while he is still on top.
Since I started blogging three years ago and joined Facebook two years ago, I have learned a LOT from reading other blogs and chatting with some of my few online friends who lives in the other side of the planet. I have two elder neighbors in FarmTown whom I have chatted before and I just love to hear stories about how the lived when they were little. From reading old story books when I was small, I can somehow imagine how it was. How they can fruits and veggies, how the wash their clothes during winter and so much more. But one thing I was not prepared to know about is how hard to deal with alcoholism. I never read that in children’s books before but I did in Reader’s Digest when I was in high-school yet it is still so hard for me to grasp the thought that someone is really suffering from it. The non-stop drinking could really ruin someone’s life and the people around you. I cannot imagine that one of my online friend has suffered from it and was saved when she went to one of the malibu treatment centers. She said her children suffered the most and it ruined her marriage too. Now she is building her life back and I am happy for her. I so wish we also have treatment centers and treatment programs that is affordable to the public so those who are suffering from it can seek help.
One of my high-school best buddy is getting married soon. I can only imagine how nervous she is feeling right now because the date is only a couple of months away yet they still have some stuffs left unattended. For the wedding invitations, I am they got it printed at their cousin’s printing press. She is marrying a barangay captain in their hometown. Just imagine how many guests they are expecting not to mention the bunch of politicians. So how’s that for an entourage?
I went to a souvenir shop in Davao and I just love how the owner put everything in place. They also got their business name printed on the labels of each package. Packaging does really play a great role in making a higher sales. It talks to the customer and I am one of those who can be enticed with nice and neat packaging. I and Donald are talking about renting a small space here for some souvenir and gift items. Since we already have a business license and name, I would like to get it printed on the labels of each items too. We’ll see if we can find cheap printing here. That’ll will surely get more people to buy our stuffs.
Since we moved again to our new place, I never had any problems on how to get rid of dark circles under my eyes because we don’t travel far everyday, therefore I get longer sleep and lesser stress. I am totally enjoying the life of getting to bed earlier than we usually do. I can see a big change too with our sleep pattern since we decided to turn the AC on before we sleep and just turn it off in the morning when we get up. No more 30-minute AC cooling because we have higher ceiling, larger bedroom not to mention we are in a hotter place on the face of the earth.
