I always ask God why He didn’t give me a talent in music. When I was a kid I loathe those who knows how to play piano or those who can sing. I just don’t have that voice. That’w why when Ella started singing infront of a crowd at 2, I was astounded and was excited. I even bought her a small guitar! But to my dismay, she is not using it anymore and Donald didn’t successfully taught her a single piece. But I had an idea….why don’t I let her watch kids her age in Youtube playing instruments like taylor 214e? I bet she will hold her guitar again like she does when it’s still new.

Getting big

It’s time for me to put on Eman’s pajamas. We are sleeping here at my sister’s place because we will be going to get some toys for our online shop. It’s already 3am and the little boy is still watching TV on diapers. I can
‘t bribe her to go to sleep since he’s been sleeping during our trip. Maybe in 15 minutes he’ll be coming to me for milk. Yes we are still breastfeeding. And yes he’s turning 3 on the 28th.

After being hired as a researcher, I am anxiously waiting for my first pay so I can pay some loan. LOL After loans are all paid up then we can start saving for the future. I love the idea but I hope it’s as easy as spending. I am now thinking how to invest wisely. To buy silver coins or buy stocks? Both sound very alluring but it would require more research before making a decision. It will take a while before all loans are paid and I have all the time I will need.

I am not into accessories but I love looking at them on the glass shelves at the malls or in magazine photos and love them more when they are being worn. I just do not know why I can’t seem to buy myself even one of the pretty cuff links I saw in my friend’s online shop. One reason is that I don’t go out often and when I do, I wear casual outfit. But hey, even in casual I can wear one right? At least it would make me one cent richer when I accessorize. LOL

Surprise call from TV5

I received a call this morning, a lady was asking about my cloth diapers. Afraid that she will place an order, I explained I stopped production recently but if she wanted some and can wait then I could sew for her. Well, the lady said “We wanted to feature your product on TV5…” I was surprised but I do not want to appear on television so I said, “Ummm Ma’am I am in Mindanao.” She sounded sad that I am this far from Manila but she said she will call back. Part of me wishes she will but I also wish she won’t. LOL I have dreamed about getting my cloth diaper featured on TV but I am always afraid of the effect. I am sure there would be some who would want to try and place orders….sewing cloth diapers requires a lot of time. I wish it would be easy to train people to sew based on my standard. I then regret why I didn’t tell her I am very willing to get featured and just cross the bridge when I get there? Big companies started small and trained people. Even the exporter of glass locket that I knew personally just trained housewives. Now I am wishing she’ll give me a ring.

I am sorry for the lack of updates. We were hooked on our small business since last year that went to nowhere. LOL We had opened a store here in Digos last May and opened another two in a span of 4 months. Things are going very well until last September, a supplier from Manila ventured here in our area. Before she came here, we are the only store that sells ukay-ukay from the US but she came and offered every store owners US bales. This badly affected our sales and so we decided to just close the stores and focus on selling pre-loved toys from the US.

Last September while looking for Baby Alive doll that Ella wanted to Christmas, I came across toy sellers. They sell pre-loved from the US and I started buying from them. After three purchases, I decided I wanted to sell too. Since I know where they are getting their toys in Davao, Donald and I visited the store (we are shopping at this store for over two years before we started selling) and studied the system. Going to the warehouse to get toys became a family bonding to us. My sister Crislyn and BIL were also going there to help us pick toys. Since my sister loved kitchenwares, she has bought pieces of Pyrex and Corningware there. After several weeks, we figured a strategy on how to get the best toys and that is to go there very early to get a good post infront of the door. When the door opens, everyone runs like they are in a bull race in Spain. LOL

Yesterday we were so lucky to get beautiful dolls and toys and hey I got a very nice computer keyboard for only P150.00. They have plenty of stuffs there like microphones, wheelchairs, speakers, baby strollers, mirrors, chairs, golf clubs and many more. Sometimes I even see chainsaw and a huge fiberglass basketball ring with stand. Really surprises me each time I go there how beautiful the trash of the people of America. Truly their trash, our treasure!

Christmas presents

Baby Alive doll is what Ella was asking for Christmas. I think she does not know the URL of my blog, so it is safe to disclose that we just had bought it for her. I asked my sister Crislyn to keep it until Christmas. Now we will only think about Eman’s present. I do not know yet what to buy. Maybe another remote control car or a set of lego. The Baby Alive alone is very expensive so we might buy Eman’s next week. I was sweet talking Donald to give me a doll too…a 22″ tall doll with long hair. Oh yes I am addicted to dolls after spending too much time browsing the internet of Baby Alive. For Donald I might just give him something he could use. A robeez shoes perhaps or a dress watch.

Eight years ago

A friend has uploaded their wedding photos eight years ago and a certain shot was flooded with comments about how small everyone was. I guess I am the only one in the picture who never gained weight. I was pregnant with Ella then and I was just starting to have pregnancy fats that I have shed as soon as Ella turned 1 month. That is what I love most about me getting pregnant. I feel more beautiful with additional folds here and there. I really wish I can easily achieve my goal to gain at least 5 lbs. more. I promise never will I seek tips about top 10 appetite suppressants if I will get my desired body size.

A blockbuster medicines taken by 30 million people around the world, Crestor, has a new risk factor which is protein associated inflammation. Taking the statin Crestor, also known as rosuvastatin, slashed the risk of heart attack by more than half in nearly 18,000 people with increased levels of the protein called high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(CRP). The drug reduced the chance of stroke and the need for a stent – a mesh tube propping open the heart’s blood vessels — by nearly 50 percent. It also said it lowers the risk of death by 20 percent. The drugs reduce heart attacks and strokes according to previous work on statins but don’t increase life span or better its quality. Many people are up for Crestor lawsuit.
