I am always fascinated with lanterns. I find them very regal and when I see one, I can’t help but dream of having our own place adorned with different kinds of lanterns like the Murray Feiss lanterns. I would love to have outdoor wall lanterns in the patio, hanging lantern inside the home and post mounted lighting in the garden. This is my dream so help me God.

See how the lanterns at Jack’s Ridge fascinated the little guy. That is what I love with the place. I want to go back just to sit and stare at them.

Oh my goodness….I can’t stand the heat! I am just so happy that we are one of the few lucky ones to have not affected with rotating brownouts. I can’t imagine how to survive El Niño with no electricity. My sweat is dripping ad I feel like I am burning fats. No need for any kind of work out or the famous hydroxycut. I am sure most of us are praying for heavy rain. We could really use a typhoon over here just not the very strong one.

Yesterday our brat :-) little sister treated us with a very yummy pan pizza from Pizza Hut and a very rocky road ice cream. nom…nom…nom…She also paid for the roasted chicken and the drinks. She asked if we could meet at SM but my sister Crislyn said she’s busy sitting on her stability ball, so we all just went to their apartment. Well, I don’t have any photos taken because the camera and the whole bag with the kids spare clothes and diaper was left at home. I already packed it and thought Donald carried it when we went out of the house. Ate brought out their camera and snapped some evidences of Cheche’s second salary treat. Yes, Cheche demanded to take some photos and blog about it. LOL We didn’t get to taste her first salary though because she has moved out of my sister Crislyn’s apartment and they are both not in the happy mood for a treat. Read more… »

I think my eyes are going to drop in a minute. I can’t take it anymore so I have to log off and grab something to drink before joining the troops in lalaland. Donald is already snoring so this means no back massage for me. He is as tired as me since he does the carrying of the little guy while I go around the shops. I will make a decent post tomorrow, promise. For now, good morning and have a blessed day to you all!

It’s already half past 3 in the morning. I am sleepy and hungry……I wish I can just go to bed right now but there are some tasks to do. I am not complaining though, rather I was so thankful that my sister Crislyn grabbed a couple of assignments for me the other morning. I am just so tired from our long day. We went shopping for fabric and other materials to three different stores. Doing that with a 10 month old baby who thinks he doesn’t need to be held makes this simple task challenging. He could break our back and hips. He is surely beginning to show some signs of hair-pulling days in the future.

Last February 8 was our 7th wedding anniversary and that day we had the worst meal.

Daddy, who is in Pagadian City, sent an sms greetings early in the morning. Donald was surprised he still remembers it. Well of course he does because he was the mastermind of our wedding date. LOL Daddy is not Chinese but he suggested it should be on the 8th or any date that the bottom does not points downward (like 1, 4, 7 and 9).

There in so specific plan for that day but Ella wanted it to be special by making a greeting card for me and Donald. We went to SM and did our usual walk around the ground floor and checked for a good deal at the second floor. Good thing I didn’t find anything worth buying because I have no plans in spending for anything but food that day. Then we passed by this new section at the second floor that really bothered Ella.

In this time of crisis, who would not want freebies? Well, Donald doesn’t want it.

Last Monday night we had champorado (chocolate porridge) for midnight snack. Since it has long cooking time like the other dishes in Cafe World, we usually fix a pot-full of champorado and just put whatever is left in the fridge to make it handy when somebody craves for it. We only have a little of it left today and Ella decided she wanted that for her afternoon snack. Although it is easy to get it in the fridge, she has to get some sugar in the store to sweeten her champorado because we ran out of it. Last night I had a bowl of it too but I put some honey on it but she doesn’t like the taste. We are not big consumers of sugar. In fact one kilo could last a month or so. We just use it for champorado and our occasional hot chocolate drinks during cold days. Honestly I prefer sugar too but this honey is so good. Read more… »

Eman is 9 months and 20 days old today. He should get his measles vaccine within the 9th month so we went to the health center here in Catalunan Pequeño. The center is located 100 meters north of the intersection. The North is going to Mintal, South is heading to Ulas, east is going inside to subdivisions where we live and the west is heading to a place I don’t know of. Before we reached the intersection, a kind driver in a cab said the men from LTO are posted right there in the intersection. Bummer! We will get fined for not wearing helmets (we just wear it when going downtown area) and for driving without a license. So we left the motorcycle at a store and walked. Ella was dragging her feet all the way to the center. The group has already left when we reached the intersection. I was thinking it’s just fine at least it’s better to be safe than sorry. We reached the center with a frowning Ella and a smiling Eman who was in the sling. Found out they will conduct immunization on Friday. I told them I thought they are doing it on Wednesday. It turned out that they changed their schedule. I didn’t ask anymore if all the centers across the country has changed schedule or just them.

So we walked back to get the motorcycle and headed to Mintal taking the back road. It’s very cold and champorado (chocolate rice porridge) will be perfect so we headed to HB1 to get some bitter oh so chocolatey cocoa rounds. I am drooling of the thought of the steaming bowl of champorado but we didn’t make it to the store. The men from LTO moved infront of Mintal Catholic Church. Another bummer! The store where we are going is right beside the church.Well, we did a U-turn….went home empty handed. A guy warned us about them just before we turned left to the church. It’s not just us who fled from the LTO’s. You should have seen the commotion……motorcycles, customized trikes and cabs were like boomerang that take a U-turn to where they came from when they see those men in green uniforms and black boots.

Thanks to the two guys who saved us today. We owe you big time.

I messed up with my theme A-G-A-I-N. Have to fix it up. This Rose theme will be up for the meantime. Thanks for the patience guys!

EDIT: Now this will be the final theme. I am using Magicland theme. This is the original look.

I changed the header so it will be little bit unique. I only have a few choices when it comes to changing wordpress themes because I have no access to the FTP thing. What I have uploaded months (probably it’s a year) ago are the only few that I am choosing from. Having no access with my FTP means I cannot download a theme to my folder and upload it to my blog using the installer. I found one cute theme and copied the html code, pasted it to my editor and pooof! It’s all messed up! I tried changing it back to my Tulip theme (with my ever knew customized header) but even the name of the theme in my folder was changed to the theme that I just copied and pasted. The Tulip theme is gone now. I have experienced this one before and I just could not learn from my mistake! What a moron! But anyway, I am fine with this…..I actually was wanting to change the color of my theme to something brown or green or maybe a combination of it with blue and a little shade of pink. Am I making sense? It’s already half past 1 in the morning…..bye for now!

Isn’t he beautiful? Ella tried her headband on her little bro and I can’t resist taking a photo and sharing it here. He will really kill me. Will show this to his girlfriend someday. harharhar…..
