When you are working, studying or living abroad, one thing that you missed most aside from the food are the people you love. My highschool classmate who is getting her doctors degree in Virginia has not been home since she flew there almost three years ago and the last time she sent me an email, she was very homesick and wanted to come home for the Holiday Season. During my first trimester, I crave for pineapples dipped in salt. I want it fresh, juicy, little bit sweet and a little bit sour. This pineapple at my PIL’s farm could be just the right one but it’s still young.
But for those who cannot find fresh pineapples, try the newest kind of dried pineapple in the country. It’s still not out in the market and you’ll have to scour the islands to find one.
Christmas is really in the air even in this small town this side of the earth. It’s my favorite time of the year not only because my it’s my birth month but because I feel really happy seeing beautiful lights, hearing carols and watching TV shows that has Christmas theme. It also reminds me of my mother who did all what she can just to make this season merrier for us. She would decorate our little house with ornaments that she dug from the box and has been reused for several years. There would also be a tiny tree on top of the side table which she carefully made. Isn’t it so annoying to receive calls from total strangers or pranksters? I remember when we were in highschool and telephone company has just started giving telecommunication services to our town that my classmates made fun by dialing a certain number over and over again, threating the person on the other end. My sister Crislyn is not fond of watches and I seem to share that same trait until Donald got me one last February. He insist that I need it and I should be wearing one and I was always wondering why until I fould out that he could feel more HUMAN when wearing a watch himself. He actually confessed it.

When Mama Ingrid was filling the boxes that she sent to us, she sent along with other stuffs a men’s watch and from that day onward Donald has been thinking about it. I don’t seem to understand why babies of the new generation has become so different. Long before the AC’s and fans became a necessity, babies and kids could survive without them. But I was very surprised when my daughter was born that she seem to flood the house with her sweat if the fan has not turned on.
