Seeing another OB

So I have seen a doctor this afternoon. We went to Alexian Brothers Diagnostic Center. This is where the clinics of my cardiologist and former OB-Gyne. I said former because I opted to get seen by another doctor today. I had a bad experience giving birth with Eman, a near death experience and I blame it to her so I do not want to see her again. LOL I do not have a name in mind so we went clinic hopping in their new building. I wish I had the camera with me.

The waiting area outside the clinics is wider and more airy. We went inside one clinic and I got my name listed. I was weighed (97 lbs) and filled up a form. It was 12:30pm when we got there. The doctor will arrive in 30 minutes.  I asked the secretary my number. I was #6. We still have time so we went to the canteen on the same floor to get some lunch. I was impressed. It was also air-conditioned, bigger and a lot cleaner than before. I wished again I had the camera. After finishing our food and before Eman gets fussy over the hanging decor, headed out. He keeps saying “Bob…bob…” his word for ball and wanted us to get it for him.

On our way out of the door, I saw a name of another OB-Gyne. It caught my attention because she is also a sonologist. I thought I’d better go see her because I might be asked for an ultrasound and an OB-Sonologist can explain better what’s seen on the ultrasound. :D Well, that is just my idea. And one thing that made me want to see her is that no one else was in the clinic. I don’t mind waiting but we should be at Ella’s school to pick her up before 3pm.

So I was called in the exam room where the doctor was. Not the same doctor whose name was on the door. She was on leave. But I was already there and I don’t want to wait for my turn on the first clinic I went in or go to my former OB-gyne so I just sat there. She asked plenty of questions and she examined my breasts after around 30 minutes of talking. She said my lump is already 6 x 4 cm in size and said she’s entertaining more of the possibility that is is just a bacterial infection rather than cancer. She said that bluntly but I was not scared because my diagnosis was just mastitis. :D She prescribed antibiotics, pain reliever and vitamin B complex then I will see her again after a week. If the lump is the same size or bigger after treatment, an ultrasound is needed. I know I won’t need that because just tonight, my infected breast has some milk again and the lump is a bit smaller. Probably because I kept feeding Eman on it and the massage did a great help too.
