I have neglected this blog for a month because of this.
Well, yeah it took me a month to get it done. In between sewing, I sew some cloth diapers and baby slings, talk to my plants (I am going crazy over bougainvillea’s), feed the little guy (we are still breastfeeding), eat, sleep and get sick. LOL I could say it is the biggest curtain in the world for that.
I received an email from Feyma Martin with a photo attachment of a grand curtain asking me if I knew someone who can sew nice curtain or if I can sew something like it. I looked at the photo and without having second thoughts, I said “YES I can do it”. In all honesty I have never sewn a curtain like that before and I am a bit hesistant. But I want to do it so badly. I want to know if I can do it and so I accepted. When we got to the house I have learned from Ate Feyma that the client is also an expat like her husband. Not just an expat but someone that wanted everything to be perfect. He is a doctor and also a lawyer and you can really tell he is. We met him before but it is another story.
I spent days and nights thinking how to sew the valance. I tried to Google but I could not find a tutorial that shows how to measure and but the fabric. They show only a portion of the technique but will give you a link of their e-book. I don’t want to spend money on e-book so I just did trial and error. As you can see, it still has no sheer curtain behind the panels and there is still some stuffs in the middle of the master’s bedroom. Some huge plastic containers are on the other side of the room. I guess they are medical equipments. I just took some shots so I can prove that I was really busy and I know you want pictures. LOL
Now I will be busy with another set of curtain for the living room. Another design which is new to me AGAIN. But I am hoping I can get it done in a week or two because it’s Ella’s 7th birthday in two weeks. I need the moolah and I want to rest too.
