Last February during the Agro Trade Fair at SM, we bought bougainvilleas of different colors. We also bought the “Three Colors”. I do not know what is the name of it, I am sure there is. Three colors is what I hear from the farmers so we call it that. It is a variegated plant that has three different colors of flowers. Two of them has fuschia pink, pomelo orange and white and the other two I think has fuschia pink, pomelo orange and light pink. I am so bad I don’t have photos of them when we have just bought them and they are all in bloom. I was busy taking care of the sick little man at that time then we moved to a new place. Here’s a photo of the one plant in bloom. I have to post it and stare at it because tomorrow I will prune it. Goodbye flowers!
I decided not to wait until the flowers wilt because the other three plants have been pruned two weeks ago. I have to do it so they will bud and get the shape I wanted. I want it round like a wedding bouquet.
The farmer told us to do pruning regularly and so all the ordinary bougainvilleas we have in the yard went from these:
To these:
Donald is crazy over these ornamental plants too. He went home one afternoon with a couple plants. I love it that he loves bougainvilleas too! Mamang used to have them in the front yard and the neighbors asks me to get some cuttings for them. We are doing this so we can have a nice yard when we move to our own place. By then we will surely get some more and a few outdoor décor to go with them. We are so excited!!!!
