Eman turned 11 months old yesterday and I am such a bad mom for not being able to take decent photos of him. We went to my SIL’s house warming party in the evening and though I knew he turned another month old…….I didn’t bother to take even a single solo picture of him maybe because I was so tired and sore. We traveled an hour to get there so imagine how my back hurt. So to make up for it, we went out tonight to have some sort of late celebration. We actually had no plans on going out but I just asked if we could go buy ingredients for mango float. I ate almost half of the whole batch that was served last night yet I still crave for it. So off we went with the kids in their jackets because we are also heading to Jack’s Ridge. It is a restaurant on top of a hill. We have been there for several times before I got pregnant with Eman so this time it was his turn to see the place. The good thing there is that you can just hang in there the park overlooking Davao City, Davao Gulf and the islands of Samal and Talicud without needing to dine in their restaurant. So that’s what we did.
This art seemed nicer during daytime. The word DAVAO is a sculpture of Durian, waling-waling, native people and Pomelo.
Wow, the nose! He’s fascinated with the lanterns.
Ella in the letter O in the form of Pomelo.
She is really good in reading now…she reads every signs she comes across with.
Surprisingly she’s the one who asked me to take her photos…so expect some more photos of her in this post.
Before we reached the park, we went down to over a hundred steps and this is the only play thing the kids can enjoy.
This is really old…like 10 years? And it needs repainting but he didn’t care. He loved it.
You can see the coffee shop, bar and restaurant in the background.
And this very bench is where Donald and I sat 10 years ago. We were still starting to get to know each other and there is a funny story about this bench which I hope to write soon.
The lights you can see below is from the Davao Memorial Park. Notice the grass…..we could really use a lot of rain over here.
Ella loves to be in this gazebo. You can see some part of Davao City downtown area.
I told you she really was into picture taking and of course I grabbed the chance since it happens once in a blue moon now.
The light-post and my boys.
Then the mango float was never made. We ended up having a midnight snack at McDonald’s.
Ella just loves helping his little brother with the food and drinks.
As I was writing this post, they are all literally snoozing. LOL I will be very busy again this week. I hope I can catch up with you all.
