Ring Slings
At last I got this package from Rochelle Price, the owner of SlingRings. Soon there will be ring slings up for sale in my store, the Home of Handmade Goodies.
It contains 50 pairs of rings for my ring slings.
They shipped my order from Laveen, Arizona last February 12 and the package was already received by Davao Post Office on the 28th. As expected, the parcel notice was delivered here at home yesterday after 9 days of sitting on their desk. If you ever need to know what a “snail mail” means, try the Philippine Postal Corporation’s service and you would certainly know.
Anyhoo, I was so happy to finally have the rings and so we went downtown to get some fabric for my soon to launch ring slings. Ella was left under Irene’s care since she was already complaining about going downtown. The short trip makes her so tired and so hungry.
We first went to a Chinese owned fabric store along Uyanguren then after an hour of measuring and cutting, we left the store with a fussy Eman. We already let him have his afternoon nap before leaving home so he won’t be that fussy but the heat can make a well rested and full baby go wild. Donald and I were starving and so we decided we need to find a place to eat at the mall before going upstairs for notions and some office supplies. It’s already past 4 in the afternoon and we ordered breakfast dishes. We went inside Tita Annie’s. He had fried rice and I had rice and tocino with egg (Eman had molo soup). They serve good food but they don’t have more baby-friendly high chair. What they have is just a normal chair with long legs.
Thanks to my ever reliable ring sling for doing the trick.
I just strapped Eman on the chair and he stayed there the whole time. This is only just one of the ways you can use this kind of sling. I also use this to keep him upright while practicing walking. He was very awake the whole time we were at the mall. He even broke a mug for being so full of energy. We were at the kitchen ware buying mugs for my personalized gift items and suddenly there was a crash coming from their direction. Donald was carrying him and when he made a turn in one of the racks, Eman might have reached for it. I am just glad he just broke one mug. I don’t know if we could have gone home if he smashed a Pyrex. When everyone looked at us, I wanted to hide my face. Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at this little menace in the making. He giggled as if he did something to be proud of or maybe because he loved being the center of attention.
Lesson learned:
Keep him inside the baby sling when shopping for breakables.
Pull the fabric up to his shoulders so his hands will be kept from reaching things.
Bring more money than you plan to spend to pay for any broken things in case the two preventive measures doesn’t work.

Order na!
When Erchelle will be a bit bigger, you will appreciate the POUCH. Promise! Because I still love my pouch. They have different advantages. The pouch is great when the baby can control their heads na, easier to wear din especially for the moms who are not breastfeeding. The Ring sling is great for breastfeeding especially when the baby is bigger na. It also saves money from buying different sizes for Daddy and Mommy. To wear your baby using a pouch, put her on top of a folded blanket that will serve as padding or a small pillow. Will look for the link sis and post it here. I believe I have emailed it to you.

Yup, you did! Medyo hesitant lang akong gamitin pa kay bunso kasi she’s still small and can’t totally control her head. Maybe by next month, ma-appreciate ko na yung pouch teehee!
Basta yung project mo sa akin ang next muna, prioritize ko muna yun kesa sa crib set kasi she’s got two sets as of now. Hahaha!

OK I will work on your customized laptop sleeve with sling. Not to mention the fuschia color and the ruffles…and the pouch for the charger pa! LOL
Yes I understand because Erchelle is tiny pa…but you will love it when she’s a little bit bigger.
