The gift that almost didn’t see the light

Whew! We just arrived home from a very long Sunday at downtown area. we attended the Sunday service and right after that, we had a party for the kids and parents too. My sister and BIL stayed with us and we had fun. Everyone is thankful they did because we had a great photos again. LOL It was such a wonderful time but I am so sore. I have never felt this sore for more than ten years. The last time I had this very bad muscle pain was when I joined the Philippine Military Training (PMT). I can hardly walk straight and it’s killing me. I will make a separate post about that later. For now I would like to blog about our gift for Mama Ingrid. Well, sometime last month I ordered a digital camera case from ArtsCow.com with our family picture on one side and Eman’s picture on the other side.

When I ordered it, I was thinking it might be just in time for Christmas….but if not, then it will be there for New Year’s Day. I am not sure if she will like it but I just give it a go since sending a little package from here will take two to three weeks. While ordering it from the site which was based in Hongkong will only cost us $5.99 because we only paid for the shipping. The item is FREE for new members. Kewl!!!!

Then the other day, we got an email from Mama Ingrid with a subject: I KEEP FORGETTING TO TELL YOU THAT I HAVE RECEIVED YOUR GIFT!!!

And here goes the body…….

It is gorgeous!. The pictures are so pretty; I got the purse already in my purse, that is, I’ll be using it for money. I received it already a few days ago, I think right before or after Christmas. But first I thought it was advertisement and didn’t pay it any attention. So this week, I almost threw it out. But when I looked at the sender one more time, I remembered Carol saying something about Hong Kong. Then of course I tore it open. I enjoy this gift so much, seeing you all together and Eman on the other side. This way I’ll think of you every day when I look into my purse.

Thank goodness she liked it!!!!! Weheeeeeee!!!!!! She will remember us everyday since she will be using it for money and not for her camera. hehehehehe. I have emailed her beforehand that a small gift was on its way from Hongkong and I am thankful I did. My sister told me that her prints came in after almost 6 weeks so I was assuming it will be a Valentine’s gift not a Christmas nor New Year’s Day gift. So what I did was to let her know about it and I sent her some of our pictures taken last December 13, 2009 by my sister Crislyn.

I ordered one for myself too but it has Ella’s picture on one side and Eman’s picture on the other side to avoid endless questions about why her picture is not there. Well, I put Eman’s picture on Mama Ingrid’s gift because he was not looking at the camera in our family picture. We had some more pictures I took using our point and shoot that time but these are far better.

Okay enough raving for now. I need to lay down in bed with the hungry little man. We spent the rest of our day at my sister and BIL’s apartment. Thanks for the free merienda and dinner! The kids are able to spend time with their Papang Lakay, Tito Ace and their tita’s who are spoiling these two bratz.
