holy sCRAP

Looks like I am hooked on taking photos of Ella’s baby pictures! Crazy huh? Well, if most of you are printing the photos you have taken with your digital cameras, I am doing otherwise. I want all Ella’s pictures be uploaded in the computer for easy blogging and digiscrapping purposes. I discovered that it’s a lot easier to do it this way than to use the scanner. (Later you will know why). The only problem is I was so dumb to have cut the photos around the edges. I do have that kind of disorder…of cutting edges and turning a photo into hearts, circles and nameless shapes. Well I learned that I have this disorder (Julie, name that disorder….I know you have this too. *lol*) when I was still a kid back when I had cut every picture and turned my magnetic album into a scrapbook. I had no idea about the word “CROP” in photo enhancement and it’s just like an innate thing to get a pair of scissors and shape my pictures. I was in 6th grade then and I never heard anything from my mother which left me wondering if she’s proud of me or what.

The  reason why it’s hard to scan them is because of how I put them together. I can’t afford scrapbooks and scrapbooking supplies so here are a few pages that I’ve created out of gift wrapping papers, colored papers and construction papers that I could find. I even have to cramp more photos in one page to save space. I am sticking to the root word ….SCRAP which means a small piece of something that is left over after the rest has been used so why should I buy? Geez…still trying to justify that I don’t have spending money to get those fancy papers and embellishments.

Anyhoo, the good news is that I just learned how to digiscrap and I have done a few lay-outs. Printing it at Artscow is not very expensive so my scrapbooking career has officially ended. I am now a digiscrapper. There are a lot of free kits on the internet so  I can do it without spending money….but I surely missed the scissors.
