The Buchanan’s

An old couple who helped the churches in the Philippines since 1970′s are leaving the country not just for forlough but for good. They were here even before the Martial Law was declared by President Marcos and now they are leaving just after the Martial Law in Maguindanao declared by President Arroyo was revoked. I wish they can stay here forever but they are getting old and they need to spend time the remaining of their lives with their family in the States.
Bro. Robert and Sis. Barbara Buchanan whom we fondly call Tatang Bob and Mother Barbara are our godparents during our wedding. I spent a few months working with them before Donald and I got married. They are one of the nicest couple I knew. Mother Barbara’s words to me were, “We will go home…we do have a home and we need to spend time with our children and grandchildren.” I understand what she meant, that time is running out….They deserve a vacation like Manhattan vacations for all the hard work and sacrifices here in the Philippines for over 30 years. I sure would miss them All the best to you Tatang Bob and Mother Barbara! Praying for you safety and good health. We will definitely miss them both.
Oh BTW, I think we will have a little snitch in the house. He’s grinning actually while pulling his Ate Ella’a hair. hehehehehe
