Thank God we are still alive
These are potted poinsettia’s for sale at SM. They are so beautiful and each time I see them on display, I feel very Christmassy.
But not the night I first saw it there this year because we were in a hurry. I just asked Ella to pose for me very quickly so I can take some pictures.
I blogged about wearing helmet a few days ago and we have gone through it last Thursday evening when we went out to meet my sister Crislyn and BIL at SM. I need to see them to bring the cloth diapers to personally hand it to Ms. Paula and Ate Bing in Manila. I was working endlessly and by 4pm, I waited for Manang Inday to text me if they will go out. Said they will be going to SM after her daughter’s class in the afternoon. I assumed they will be riding a taxi so I asked if I can go with them so I can save. At 4pm, I sent a message to her to confirm if they will go out. I changed my mind of leaving Eman because dinner time is about an hour away so I was hoping I can send the diapers to them anyway it’s in the same place where they are all going. Unfortunately, they already left and didn’t send a message because they are in a hurry. Well I am burnt out and I was hoping Donald would tell me that he will bring it there for me. he could also bring Ella along and they can eat dinner there while I and Eman stay at home and rest. What happened next is we ALL headed downtown in his motorcycle. I still can’t believe that I agreed to that idea. It’s so scary because of the “uso-uso” jeepneys and huge trucks plying the highway plus he is driving without license. Although we are wearing helmets (except for Eman whom I tucked carefully in the sling) and we mainly took back roads after reaching the intersection, you just cannot tell what will happen. Donald said he won’t ever dare try driving to downtown again unless he has driver’s license because he said he has a very high respect to Mayor Duterte. No questions about that ’cause he is the number one fan of the Mayor. When we arrived home, Manang Inday sent a message about forgetting to let me know before they went home so I could get a ride. No problem. We arrived home with trembling knees and aching backs but still we are grateful we are alive.
