It’s half past 8 in the evening and the rain is pouring which will surely last until past midnight. We are halfway with the laundry when it started to drizzle followed by a heavy downpour yet it didn’t stop us from attending a dinner party at the neighbor’s house. Of course we could have not gone there but we already set our minds on that so instead of preparing dinner, we opted to empty the two remaining laundry baskets. Eman’s basket was first emptied last Friday and Saturday, then Sunday came and Ella’s clothes are washed. Mine and Donald’s are the last to get cleaned and I feel so good that we finally did it.
Since we have a sleeping little man in the hammock, I sent Ella and Donald first there. I am still full so I stayed with Eman and asked Donald to buy me food before they come home in case I decide that I won’t be coming over. So there goes Ella with her gift and after just a few moments, Donald came knocking and told me that the host wanted me to come over and so I did. I just had little rice and “lechon” (roasted pig) but I pigged out on biko (glutinous rice cake), chocolate cake, banana and two slices of watermelon.

Getting ready for school

Playing peek-a-boo
I don’t usually buy signature stuffs especially for myself. Although I know that the quality is way much better than the cheapo ones, I can’t just convince myself to spend money on pricey stuffs. The very first reason is that I don’t have money to spend. :-l Second, I noticed through time that pricey stuffs don’t last long to me like the cheapo stuffs. But maybe if we have more than enough money, then I could probably shell out some moolah for such items.
Last time we went to my hometown for my grandfather’s funeral, we had a reunion too with cousins from Manila. They are sisters. I have seen Manang Marichel and Manang Marites when I went to take part of the Buy Pinoy Trade Expo in SM Megamall two years ago. But I didn’t it is almost 10 years since I last saw the eldest, Manang Maribel. It was so wonderful to see them all again and when we parted, I brought home a REEF slippers.

Got a new theme!!!!! I don’t have any plan on changing my old one yet but while tweaking on this which I dug from my collection of themes, Donald said it looks better than my girly theme. So I did some editing with the font style and size and here it is. Looks fresher to me.
Anyway, there is so much going on around here that I could not even write a short post. Bad.
But since it is still half past 9 in the evening and the kids are already in bed, might as well do some little blogging.
(Eman decided to disturb me. He’s here eating while I blog with one hand)
It’s been a week since he made up his mind not to use his bottles and I somehow adjusted to it pretty well. Been doing everything in fast mode. (Okay he’s done with his midnight snack, back in blogging with two hands)

As early as now I wanted to prepare for Eman’s first birthday. Since Ella’s birthday has just passed, I was thinking about saving little by little for the little man’s 1st birthday. I hope I could leave few bucks from my paypal each payday and Donald might as well do that also. My mom is not here anymore so there would be no one to give “lechon” (roasted pig). With Ella’s first birthday, she was the one who paid for it and for other food and stuffs since we are jobless then. I don’t really see “lechon” as important centerpiece on parties but of course a first birthday is really special as it is also a thanksgiving celebration for the baby’s health.
I could make personalized party favors, banners and other stuffs so as to save money. Ella could help me with this, really! I already have an idea on how to make fun and exciting childrens birthday party supplies that would be a hit. Since Eman likes Pooh I like Pooh so much, I will try to find out how to make a Winnie-the-Pooh piñata for our little Eman-Pooh.

I was busy yesterday with my online job that I never had the chance to blog. This isn’t me. I am always excited to blog about special events like Ella’s birthday but it is becoming real hard for me to multitask since our little man decided that he doesn’t want to do anything with bottles anymore.
So now I am writing about our Princess’ birthday last Tuesday. Those were her balloons on top that Donald has blown. We just bought balloons, sticks and pump in Tagum last Friday since it is cheaper than to order in the local party supply store here. Read more… »

I am glad that Eman’s fussiness was gone. Only the little cries for milk but it’s normal for a baby. He would also not take bottles since yesterday which is an advantage and at the same time disadvantage to me. Of course I would love to be nursing him until it’s time to wean him. Best for the baby and best for our pocket.
But then I also need to attend to Ella’s needs that only mommies can do. Donald helps with house chores but of course there are some stuffs that calls for me. There is also my new online job my new online job that requires more of my time. It is very hard for me especially when I am trying to beat a deadline. Maybe Eman and I needed some more practice about time management.
Eman could very well eat with his bottle before but yesterday we noticed he would not take the bottle. He just spits it up and would be crying like hell but when I hold him close to me, he would look for my breast and would nurse silently until he falls asleep. He would not even want his pacifier which he was using without problems before. All he wanted is my breasts and Donald would say if only he has breasts like me, I could have all the time I need. Anyway this will pass and it is such a blessing that our little guy likes my breasts unlike Ella who despised it so much before.
