It’s half past 8 in the evening and the rain is pouring which will surely last until past midnight. We are halfway with the laundry when it started to drizzle followed by a heavy downpour yet it didn’t stop us from attending a dinner party at the neighbor’s house. Of course we could have not gone there but we already set our minds on that so instead of preparing dinner, we opted to empty the two remaining laundry baskets. Eman’s basket was first emptied last Friday and Saturday, then Sunday came and Ella’s clothes are washed. Mine and Donald’s are the last to get cleaned and I feel so good that we finally did it.
Since we have a sleeping little man in the hammock, I sent Ella and Donald first there. I am still full so I stayed with Eman and asked Donald to buy me food before they come home in case I decide that I won’t be coming over. So there goes Ella with her gift and after just a few moments, Donald came knocking and told me that the host wanted me to come over and so I did. I just had little rice and “lechon” (roasted pig) but I pigged out on biko (glutinous rice cake), chocolate cake, banana and two slices of watermelon.
Funny thing happened tonight. It was not yet 6 in the evening and Donald was still finishing hanging the laundry when the power went off. It was total darkness. Good thing that Eman was sleeping soundly in his hammock. As I was groping from my seat to Ella’s study table where I usually see her pink flashlight, my hands landed on the camera. I ran my fingers on the table trying to find the flashlight but all I am feeling is the keyboard. I know that the laptop is on the leftmost side of her study table and what I was looking for is usually placed on the rightmost part. So I fumbled for the laptop cover so I could close it afraid that something heavy might fall on it. I have tried closing it more than twice but it wouldn’t! I was wondering what went wrong and as I tried it one last time, I realized I was bending the LCD monitor of our desktop! Hahahahaha! Now I realized how hard it is to be blind. I just couldn’t imagine how my dear friend Steph survived being one.
Hafta go. I will be reposting Mama Ingrid’s ads on Craiglist and while doing that, I will do some playstation 3
hunting.

Don’t you hate trying to find things in the dark when the power goes out? I always walk SLOWLY so I won’t stub my toes! *lol*
