Eman’s misery

Our day started much earlier today. It wasn’t 8am yet when we headed out the door to the health center for Eman’s immunization and Ella’s tutorial class. It was gloomy and it drizzled the whole day. I wanted to be early because there were too many mommies and babies last week and we were the first to arrive. I and Eman waited outside while Donald brought Ella to school for her tutorial class that should start at 8am too. She was pretty much excited because she really wanted to learn. I made a deal to her that once she pass the entrance test for SPED class, we will throw her a birthday party. But then Donald and I are talking about making her repeat Kinder 2 if she wanted. I have asked her more than a couple times and her answer is always no. She was even so confident when we are on our way home, telling us that she can now read well and that she can make it to the 1st grade.

While waiting for Donald to return from school, mommies started to come in and I feel lucky for the healthy baby I am holding. I don’t have to worry because the newborn screening that Eman went through at Brokenshire Hospital came out negative. There was a 15 year old mother holding her premature baby. She gave birth at 36 weeks and you could really tell that there is something wrong with the baby. Eman was weighed and he is now 6.5 kgs, he gained 1 kilo after just a week! He behaved while we waited for his turn. I honestly don’t know how the midwife could stand a whole day making babies cry. :-( Eman had two shots that made his life miserable. If only we could skip all the shots we would because I hate to hear him cry like that.

When we went out of the center he was already whimpering and he slept all the way to the school. The tutorial class is not yet over when we got there and so waited while I chatted with the mom who was waiting for her son. They are two in the tutorial class and I prefer Ella to have someone to be with during the class because it pushes her more to learn fast due to the competition. The mom said Ella was so in doubt that she can read but when she did read a whole sentence without a mistake, she was so happy about it and she couldn’t believe it herself. We read a short story yesterday and she strangely could read the long words easily than the short words. Maybe long words are not so confusing for her.

We had our regular visitor here and we worked on the project again. Eman was good until we were home that he was wailing until he turned purple. His left leg was sore even I did massaged it right after the shot and put on hot compress when we got home. he is crying like hell and it made me feel so bad but he was okay after giving him Paracetamol. We missed his smile today because he was sleeping in the hammock most of the day. Glad that he is on his old playful and chatty self again after waking up from a long nap.

Tomorrow will be another day and I hope all will be well. See yah around!

Poor Eman! Those shots are awful, huh? :( … Is Paracetamol like Tylenol?
