So it’s HUGE!
Our day went quite fine. The sun gave us all the sunshine we wanted. After Ella left for VBS this morning, Eman had a few minutes of sun bathe before his daily bath. I hope weather will still be the same tomorrow as he needs to get exposed to sunshine everyday and the laundry needs to get done. Read the rest of this entry »
my baybee
When I was a child, I remember being so carefree. I’d climb trees, steal Daddy’s bike and ride it around the neighborhood and hit the highway, play street games endlessly and spent most of the day with my “kababata”. There are cuts and bruises that left scars on my arms and legs, all of which reminds me of all the laughter and tears I had when I was a child.
Now that I am a mother of two, I hate to say I am such a pessimist momma. I’d always think of the worst thing to happen. I don’t want Ella to go out and play with other kids for fear that she might get hurt. I wish she could experience all the joy of childhood….to fly a kite, to swim in the river, to climb trees and do things that kids normally do….but I just can’t let her because to me she is still my baybee.
This morning when she kissed me goodbye before leaving for the VBS, I was worrying that something bad might happen so despite her protest that daddy is going to drop her there (she wanted to go with the other kids), I was glad to see her after almost four hours - smiling, with tons of stories to tell and most especially with complete limbs. I know she’s still too young to climb trees….but I hope when the right time comes I will be the optimistic momma that a strong-willed daughter needs.
Busy buddies
Ella was very busy with her bike and crafts since we got here from Davao. Donald also made her a swing made of motorcycle tire which became a haven for her (Wish I have taken a photo to show how it looks. Maybe tomorrow I could). She would go on her business alone or sometimes with her friend Charlie although Donald and I don’t like that boy to be here because he would just come when he’s not playing with someone or he just wants food. Often Ella would go home crying because he pretends he doesn’t hear Ella’s call and he is so good at snobbing her.
But anyway, he is the best kid in the neighborhood that we could let Ella play with so we got no choice but to let him in.

Home at last
I was happy to be back here in our little town with our little bundle of joy. It was Tuesday morning when we decided to pack our things and head home, Eman’s first bus ride at 11 days old. Read the rest of this entry »
You keep the door closed or else….
Before we were finally discharged from the hospital last March 30, we brought Eman to the laboratory for newborn screening. The lady that took the tests asked me to lay him down in the bed and she will just call us when they are done.
When the door was closed, I looked for a chair while Donald stayed by the door. I could hear Eman’s cry like he was crying for help.
I feel bad I can’t hold him so I just made myself occupied by reading what’s on the bulletin board and everything that was on the wall. This one pasted on the adjacent door where Eman was made me and Donald smile (if there was no one but us there, we could have laughed out loud).
Oh I know there is nothing funny about that but if you look at the whole picture, maybe you could also roll on the floor laughing.
His smile
After days of trying to capture Eman’s smile while he sleeps, I am so delighted that I finally had some snaps taken late this afternoon with his most sweet and angelic smile.
Finally
After Cheche had some sort of “drama” the other night that it feels as though she did not graduate from college because I and my sister Crislyn hadn’t blogged about it, we both promised her that we will make a post about it.
Today is my expected date of delivery and had Eman waited for this day to come out, Cheche could have been the star of my blog the day she graduated. Unfortunately, Eman decided to make an early appearance and stole the spotlight from her.
Anyways, it’s always better to be late than never writing a post at all so ladies and gentlemen…..I am proud to announce that our youngest sister Cheche has finally finished her degree in Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management at Joji Ilagan Career Center Foundation Inc. Eman’s first Sunday at church
I was meaning to post about Eman’s birth story but I can’t seem to find time to finish what I have started writing 4 days ago. I don’t have the luxury of time to blog now since Eman’s always calls me to feed him.
We are very happy that I am breastfeeding him because I failed to purely breastfed Ella before. Aside from getting nutrients that formulas don’t have, we could also save A LOT.
Although the following day after his birth we fed him with formula using a small syringe because I still don’t have much milk yet, I am very thankful that I have enough milk now (and crossing my fingers and toes that the supply will last until he decides to eat rice) He wasn’t satisfied with what he can get from me on the second day (he is really a boy!) so we have to give him formula through syringe to prevent confusion between my nipple and the bottle’s nipple. Now I feel I am floating in the air because I can’t get enough sleep especially at night when I have to feed and change his diaper but I love it. It feels so good to hold him close to me and his smiles always delights us all. Read the rest of this entry »
He’s here!
As expected, Miguel Emmanuel did an early appearance last March 28, 2009 at 4:13 pm, 9 days prior to his due date. He weighs 7.7 lbs, measures 50 cm in length. The chest and abdomen measures 34 cm and abdomen measures 33 cm.
This was taken 15 hours after our long ordeal in the labor and delivery room. Donald and Ella couldn’t resist his charm and I couldn’t either.
Have to make another post for the birth story tomorrow. See yah!
