Today’s been good. I was hoping last night that I will feel better today because there are things that I planned to accomplish before we get back to Davao which will be this Saturday. I kept on ranting to Donald yesterday about the laundry that I wanted to be done, the receiving blankets that I have yet to sew, Ella’s toys that needed to be sorted and the two rooms in the house that needs to be decluttered. He told me it can wait but I can’t leave the house again without these done. Since I have been sick since Monday until yesterday, I only have today until Friday.

So after breakfast, I declared it’s laundry day. :-) Donald made a face and told me he is not helping at all. I assured him I won’t ask him to help but I asked him to carry the washing machine outside to the washing area while I sorted the laundry. There are only a few clothes because we have just did the laundry a couple of days before we left here last month but since I stripped our beds and changed the pillow cases when we arrived last Sunday, there are more than a couple of loads. (Not to mention the curtains and bath towels). He told me firsthand that he is not helping and he really did stood by it because HE-DID-IT-ALL-BY-HIMSELF. That’s the good thing about being pregnant. ;-)

So while he’s outside with the washing machine (and who knows if he’s mumbling to himself), I started dealing with Ella’s huge mess at the the other room. I could barely walk to the window because I toys are scattered all over the floor. Each Sunday, kids from my Sunday School class would help Ella make a mess in there and would just leave without putting back the toys in the baskets and bins. :-( Then there are also days that the neighbor’s kids will be coming over to watch movies with Ella and slowly crawl to that room and they continue what mess the other kids have started. I think I spent 3 hours in there and I am not yet done. I have yet to wash almost all of the toys in there but I could do that later. I also sat in her study/craft table and spent another hour arranging books, crafts supplies etc…etc…Although we already let Ella do the cleaning and arranging of her stuffs, there will always be a time that I have to do it for the benefit of everyone. I can’t stand seeing things not well organized like mixed up crayons and books that are not in order. I am glad Ella was at school. I can’t work fast enough with her around because while my hands are working, my mouth will also be busy answering each questions. This made me get things done in less time so that gave me time to sew one receiving blanket tonight. I still have three blankets to make but I don’t know why it was harder for me to sew a simple blanket than to sew a complicated cloth diaper.

It is SO MUCH easier to get things done when the kids are occupied elsewhere. *lol*

I would love to see a picture of your wahsing machine… You can’t just move ours, so now I am curious. :)

    Do you line dry everything?

    Yes it really is. LOL

Oh the washing machine! I will take a photo of it so you could see. I know your washing machine are HUGE there. Here everything is Filipino size. LOL Even our fridge is much smaller than yours there. But there are also HUGE appliances available in the appliance store here…but they are a LOT expensive and it can’t fit in our little house. LOL
