still waiting

I have been waiting for some real intense contractions since last night but all that I had was just bearable. Well, my doctor said I have a very high threshold for pain when she did an internal examination and that maybe was the reason why I consider my labor pains “bearable”. I was waiting for Donald to wake up this morning so we could do some walking but I just let him get all the rest he needed because he was dead tired like me from the resort and had little sleep from the loud snoring of my cousins. I went back to sleep since Ella and him are still both sleeping and when we all woke up at 10ish, we had breakfast and I started pressing Emmanuel’s clothes and stuffs then a cousin, Manang Inday, and her daughter came to bring the ingredients that my sister Crislyn needed to make baked macaroni for her daughter’s birthday on Friday. We spent time chatting and after more than an hour Donald, Ella and I went with them to Victoria Plaza to do some walking. :-) Malls would just be the right place to do walking at that very hour. Summer heat is here and I just can’t stand it. Read more… »

A long day

It was a long day yesterday. Our cousin and her whole family was here at my sister’s and BIL’s apartment since Saturday to attend the graduation rites of her husband (Manong Nolan) who finished his master’s degree and their daughter (Mgel) in her bachelor’s degree in UIC (University of Immaculate Conception). We are already up at half past 3 in the morning. My sister Crislyn was tagged along as one of the escorts of Manong Nolan and they left the apartment when the dawn was still breaking while Cheche, Donald and I went back to sleep right after they are gone. Just after noon time they were already here and we had lunch together then we all prepared to go to the resort to spent the night. My uncle, Papang Alfred, was there also and we are glad to see him. He’s been very ill with diabetes and other complications. Ella was so happy that she was able to swim again and enjoy the company of relatives. I was feeling so tired so hot since the other day so I joined the kids in the water and at 7pm, we were back in the cottage for dinner. The food is good and we had great time talking. Crislyn and BIL went home while Cheche and us stayed overnight. I had difficulty getting to the bathroom and was having contractions the whole time. Thankfully I finally dozed off after hours of trying to sleep. Read more… »

The waiting is finally over and today she was pretty thrilled for being able to wear toga.

A box of cloth diapers

At last I was able to sew three receiving blankets today. One more to go and I am done but Ella was preparing to go to bed and in just a few moments she’ll be calling me to lie beside her to read a book or have some snuggle. I decided I will make a quick post while she checks Spidy on the canister.

Let me just share for now all the cloth diapers that I have sewn for our baby boy. I know it’s kinda late because it’s been more than a week that I have finished this project but I only realized now that I have not showed these photos. Read more… »

Today’s been good. I was hoping last night that I will feel better today because there are things that I planned to accomplish before we get back to Davao which will be this Saturday. I kept on ranting to Donald yesterday about the laundry that I wanted to be done, the receiving blankets that I have yet to sew, Ella’s toys that needed to be sorted and the two rooms in the house that needs to be decluttered. He told me it can wait but I can’t leave the house again without these done. Since I have been sick since Monday until yesterday, I only have today until Friday. Read more… »

Meet her new pet, Spidy

As Ella grew, we noticed her growing passion for animals. She just adores them all. I remember when I was a child, I have a puppy but I don’t care about other animals. While we were still in Davao, Donald and I happen to pass by a vendor that sells puppies and I stopped to look at them. They are very cute pups. Mostly white. A couple of them has brown spots on their ears or somewhere in their face but one caught my attention. The white pup with blue eyes which is the fattest and cutest of them all. Ella wanted to have a dog of her own, she actually wanted to have a puppy that she could raise to be a dog. :-) She already have Bogart but this old dog is not really hers. What she wanted is a pup that she could teach tricks and Bogart is already a senior citizen. Read more… »

We are sick :-(

I though I won’t be able to post tonight because I was feeling sore all over and has slight fever when I woke up from my afternoon nap. Ella and I also had diarrhea that made it worst. Maybe it was the peanut that Donald bought in Montevista. I was craving for it while the bus was still in Panabo but he just mustered his strength to get off the bus and go buy a couple of packs when we got to Montevista. Ella came knocking on the door while I was still using the comfort room and from the sound of it, she’s having some stomach upset which was true. They had no class today but she went to school to attend their folk dance rehearsal. Read more… »

Home at last

So we are home after three weeks of being gone. The trip was good with no complains from Ella. Thanks to Dizzytab that she has taken an hour before we left my sister’s apartment. I noticed that I also have less problems with traveling from here to Davao. I feel nauseated before and really tired even we are riding the King Long bus which supposed to give me comfort. I don’t know why but one thing for sure, this won’t change my mind on moving back to my hometown before June. One thing that made me more comfortable traveling today is the fact that I am wearing a medium sized adult diaper. Read more… »

We’re One!

It’s been a while that I have blogged and being such a big procastinator, I always find it difficult to get myself to write even a short update about what’s going on with our life for the past weeks. But today is different as I feel the NEED to write a post because today is the first birthday of my blog. Yay! I couldn’t believe I have been blogging for a year now. It was like just yesterday when my sister Crislyn was teaching me blogging 101 at her PIL’s place. So to celebrate this very special day, we went out even when the weather is more on the gloomy side. It was drizzling when I woke up in the morning and it went on until we left my sister’s place at almost 3 in the afternoon. Donald, Ella, Cheche and I went to Victoria Plaza first to get some moolah from the ATM then went to Learning is Fun Center along Bajada to check out for new released books. I have been wanting to go there to get a few books for Ella so I was pretty excited that I was finally able to be there. There are many new released books and many books that are on Sale but we left the place with only three activity books for Ella and a kit on how to play guitar that Donald has picked.
