Valentine’s surprise

When we went to Tagum last Wednesday, Valentine decorations at the mall’s lobby caught Ella’s attention. She was insisting that we should get her one of those red heart boxes. For her, Valentine’s day is as special as Christmas  and I had no idea where did she get that.

So today, she made a picture as a Valentine surprise for me and Donald. I asked her why is the girl crying and she corrected me that she isn’t crying. “Nabigla lang ang puso niya sa singsing.” (Her heart was just taken by surprise by the ring.)

Now I understood. The girl was surprised by that ring in the box….see that little box? I actually thought it was a boy on the toilet seat. Bad mama. The girl must have been very surprised because I haven’t seen HUGE tears of joy like that. :-)

Today, she’s doing great. No more tummy ache. We had arroz caldo for brunch and she spent most of the day watching Bambi while I did some sewing. It’s the third time she watched it for the past three days. She would sit and watch before remembering to open her textbooks.

In the afternoon, she and Donald went to Kuya Bernard’s house for a bible study. I chose to stay because I am not comfortable bringing my big tummy there. It’s pretty heavy and I have pelvic pains again since we did the fast-mode cleaning in the house two weeks ago.By the way, here’s what I overheard from Ella reading (she’s actually guessing the words) her story book while I write this post.

” Snow White went to the forest together with Happy, Sneezy…….Horny……and who are the others Mommy?” That almost gave me a heart attack! I am just thankful she didn’t say it in front of other people. :”> Again, I was clueless where did she get that word…maybe she just rhymed it with the other names.

Yes, I am starting to think that Ella and Alicia are sisters! They are crazy over arts and crafts and are so creative more than us.
