So we’re here in Davao for 3 days…..and counting. We could have gone home yesterday even when Kuya Bernard and company postponed the trip but I am not riding a bus this time. Maybe the choleric in me is kicking in because I already set in my mind that we are not commuting going here and back there. Don’t get me wrong. I am not “maarte” because I can ride the most rusty bus in the archipelago only that I already had it in mind that we will be travelling straight. No stop-overs to every town’s terminal. I could bear that. The stop-over thing but not now, not tomorrow, not this week. Not when I already had it in mind that we are going home with Kuya Bernard. It was already planned so it is fixed. No more changing or else I declare World War.
Could this be because of being choleric or just being pregnant and couldn’t find a comfortable position when sleeping?
I honestly like to be home now because of Ella but with each cancellation of the schedule that cheers Donald and her, I might as well enjoy our stay here. I worry about Ella being absent from school but her good father insists that it’s useless sending her to school when the teacher couldn’t accommodate everyone in class.
So I am calling the teacher tomorrow to ask what are their lessons while Ella is away so we could do a bit of homeschooling here.
Spent the day more active than yesterday. Ella played with Voj while Donald and I spent the morning until early afternoon talking. Then we went downtown to check on fabrics. I am planning to sew a bedding set for the baby and each time I talk about it he rolls his eyes. He said I will just procastinate and will be able to sew that when the baby turns 5. Better buy a set in the mall which I ended up doing because I couldn’t find a decent cotton fabric with Winnie-the Pooh prints. We’ve been to Gaisano Mall before hitting NCCC and went back to where we first have been. Found this Classic Winnie-the-Pooh comforter and pillow set which will match the bumper and fitted sheets I already have. We paid for it and went to run an errand for Crislyn at the basement, waited for a little while and went back to their place. Ella and Voj are still busily playing. I napped for shortly then I remember I wanted to eat Lomi so I sweet talked Donald to going to Bankerohan market to buy ingredients. I wanted to cook because I don’t like they way it is cooked by the place where we are ordering before. There in the market we shopped for kakanin too that I really missed.
We bought sapin-sapin, kalamay-hati and cassava cake. After having everything I needed (we also bought a kilo and a half Lomi noodles to bring back home since what they use in the province is the thin noodles), we headed to Donald’s favorite place to eat his favorite Bulalo. I guess his trip to Davao is complete with one bowl of steaming hot Bulalo.

Hope you’re having a good time, even though the trip is longer than you had planned… Just think of all the extra time you get to spend with your sisters!
