UPDATE: I already made “nicer” and more decent cloth diapers. Please check HERE and HERE.
But if you are not into sewing, I am selling my handmade cloth diapers and baby slings at HOME OF CLOTH DIAPERS AND BABY SLINGS.
So here’s the project that I started at 10pm last night and finished at 2am.
A handmade cloth diaper!!!!
I came across this site the other day and decided it won’t hurt if I try making my own. The pattern is free and the step-by-step instructions are very easy to follow.
I am always seeing cloth diapers for sale in ebay and craiglist and the seller say they make it. I was wondering how they could sew something that looks like store bought and have always been wanting to try it too. And so I began searching the internet for free pattern and I am proud that I made one using just some left over fabrics that I have.
This is the front. I just pinned it since I have no Velcro around the house at that very moment.
The back which I really really love the shape. The soaker that I have sewn on the inner layer helps it shape up.
This is where the baby’s leg should come out in case you don’t know.
After finishing this master piece, I couldn’t sleep. I was thinking of sewing some more but I needed fabric. What I have here are for girls and Emmanuel will curse me to death if he discovered that he wore pink and flower printed cloth diapers when he was still a baby.
So today, we went to Tagum City after Ella’s class (a two-hour bus ride from here) to buy all the materials I needed and be able to get an idea on different designs of tv stands that are on display. I am so happy that Donald agreed after seeing my finished product. I will be making a separate post about that later since I can’t wait to give my sewing machine some work out.

That looks great! … I never wanted to use cloth diapers, because of the “poop in them” thing. I have issues with cleaning poop out of diapers and undies. *lol*

I understand you on that.
I have issues too but I am just so glad that Ella’s poop are “firm” so it’s easy to clean. I just flush it
I hope with our new baby, it will be the same. If not…..I think I need to resort to disposables if budget permits.
