Hating bluemountain

I am such a moron! I lost $15 from my paypal and I just discovered an hour ago. Maybe I have the right to vent in here after all this is my blog. Last December 18, 2008 I checked on the internet for Holiday ecards that I could send to Mama Ingrid. My original plan was to order a two potted roses that comes with a bear at Walmart but when I tried paying it online, there was a problem with my paypal or my bank account. I think my bank account isn’t verified or something by the store. Okay, fine so I went searching for ecards and stumbled on Bluemountain.com. Not actually stumbled, it was a sort of coming back since I have been to this site in the past. I was happy to see they have free one month trial for the ecards of which I registered. It was a very easy registration and I am done in just a few moments. I just filled a form where I wrote my name and address.  Read more… »

I’d love to have a pool

I was asked twice yesterday by Ella as to when will we go back to the pool where we’ve been the other Sunday. I actually told Donald while we were there that we can do it every week. But that was when the girl from the resort’s canteen came to us to collect the cottage fee of P250 (around $5.26) that I changed my mind. T’was a very expensive fee for a little cottage and thinking we just stayed there for more than three hours was not so wise. There are cottages that are cheaper (for more than a dollar) but they are way to far from the pools. How I wish I just could call the pool builders in this instant and let them build us a pool like that of Orange County Pools and San Diego County Pools. I love their custom swimming pool design. Not just a boring pool but it adds beauty to the whole yard and Ella could stay there (if not live) like a mermaid.

So I had some bonding moment with my paper bag from Julie’s bakeshop last night. I blame my attack on the sudden changes of the weather. It started to worsen in the evening and Donald was watching me blow on that paper bag with the thought of going to Davao in that instant. We had no hospital in town, only useless clinics that if you wanted to spare your life, then forget about going there. But I assure him I’d be alright in a matter of hours if he could give me a massage. :-) It was a soothing massage but still I feel like running out of air. Glad that we have Vicks vaporub in the house, at least it helped too plus some self-massage that I did after searching the net the pressure points in reflexology for asthma and tender loving care from our family doctor. My dream bed

Photobucket

I finally found the walnut poster bed that I wanted for only $51.99 only. No, not the bed to replace our old one because this is a dollhouse bed that’s why it’s that cheap.:-) But I really like the design and maybe Donald would agree to order from our neighbor a bed with the just the same design as this. I wanted a poster bed since I started seeing it in books when I was still a child. It gives a magical feeling to me. ;-) You could check zoolabees.com for more of this miniature furnitures and stuffs perfect for dollhouses. Who says playing with a doll house is just for kids?

I do not know how long have I slept last night but boy was I glad that I have at least gone to sleep even when I kept on waking up. Ella have slept early last night and at almost 10, she woke up to eat dinner. Since she has already slept, it was hard for her to get back to sleep when Donald and I called it lights off at midnight. I was hoping I could sleep soundly through the night but Ella keeps on tossing in bed. That wakes me up each time I doze off. After the lights are off, I heard her whisper her prayer that she could wake up early and that her hands could write faster. In the morning when it’s time to prepare for school, we had no problem with her. Read more… »

I think I am dead

I am sorry I am not in my blogging mood tonight. I feel really tired from doing nothing but trying to complete the lacking hours of sleep last night. Donald and Ella have slept early at 2am  while I could not convince my eyes to shut down until almost half past three. I tried every sleeping position that a woman with big bulge could do but I ended up taking my laptop to bed to drain the battery (not of the laptop but of me). :-( Read more… »

Happy birthday Totis!

Photobucket

Ella calls my BIL “TOTIS” when she could barely talk. She couldn’t pronounce “Tito Ace” at that time and we find it so cute and endearing. Until now we (the grown ups) sometimes refer to BIL as TOTIS long after Ella could very well pronounce the words.

Picture taken last March 11, 2008 at the Agro-Trade Fair during the Kadayawan Festival.

Ella holding a pair of scissors and trying to open a packet of abaca twine.

Donald: ‘Wag ‘yan ang gamitin mo Lay. May nabuksan na sa kabilang kuwarto, kunan kita. (Don’t use that Lay. There’s an open packet in the other room, I will get you some.)

Donald went inside the other room and handed her a foot long of twine.

Ella: Kelangan ko ng maraming ganito Dy. (I need plenty of this Daddy.)

Donald: Tama na ‘yan. (That’s enough.)

Ella: Hindi. Kelangan ko ng marami. Bakit iisa lang ba ang buhok natin? (No. I need plenty. Do we only have just one strand of hair?)

Yeah, right. So why not give her a handful?

So Donald gave her this…..

June baby

I am trying to find a birthday gift for Ella for her 6th birthday. It won’t be until the 2nd of June but with the upcoming delivery of the baby in April, the plan of moving (and renovating the old two bedrooms or maybe building a cozy hut) the same month and her enrollment for the next school year, I am afraid that we couldn’t get her a gift that she dreamed of because by that time, we would really be too tight with our budget. That is the bad side of being born in time for the paying of school fees and buying school supplies and uniforms. Here’s hoping that we could still throw her a little party. Read more… »

Tiny hands

Last night as I was finishing all my pending tasks on the pc while Donald was tweaking something on the laptop, Ella decided to do things that big girls do. She washed her face, brushed her teeth, combed her hair, changed her clothes and cleaned her ears.
