Caroleen’s Treasures

Still God isn’t done washing the earth and by now, everywhere I look is pretty soaked. I was planning to send Cheche’s tuition fee through xoom but changed my mind at the very last minute. The fee is for me unreasonable, and since she has our Daddy’s atm card, why not just send it directly there. I asked Donald if he has any plans on going to the market today and he said none but he went anyway after I told him that sending the money through xoom will cost much.

We spent the whole day just inside the house which is not new at all since we rarely step out of the house. If only the bathroom inside was done, we won’t be going out at all except for Donald and Ella going to school or market. There were even days when the gate was left locked for the whole day. Tomorrow, Ella’s class will resume and I will go out with them because it’s my pre-natal check-up and anti-tetanus shot. I hope the weather won’t be too nasty tomorrow as I do really hate getting out in such a bad weather.

About our little girl, she’s eating a lot lately. When we were in our long vacation, she rarely had a decent meal. She gets overwhelmed with being with her tita’s and would just play all day. I was telling her the other day that she needs to be as plump as before so she could carry her little brother and this made inspires her to eat and eat. When she woke up this morning, she asked for a bowl of cereal after finishing one serving of rice and vegetables. Then she had small snacks in between out of chocolate wafers and bread. For dinner she ate a plate of rice with “tinolang manok” (chicken ginger stew with vegetables). An hour later, while watching TV, she sweetly talked Donald to cook a pack of ramen for her. She’s really trying to make up for the times she refused to eat a full meal.

With me, the baby is very active today. I think he’s doing some somersault and he’s like beating the drums too. His head was positioned on my pelvis but I could feel the movement on all sides of my tummy. I feel him kick (or was he hitting his knee) on the top of my belly and some fast and continuous little kicks on both sides. I am still controlling my rice intake as I don’t want him to be too big. I ate three apples today in between meals and now I am digging in a bottle of Nutella while writing this. Sorry, I crave for sweets lately and I already ate most of the leche flan I made.
