Today is the first set of 3rd Grading Examination and Ella said she’s ready. They had Mathematics and they are into addition. I am not so worried anymore about her score maybe because I have already convinced not to expect too much from her. After all the school isn’t that good at all and we might enrol her in Kinder 2 again next school year. It will all depends on the assessment of the school in my hometown if Ella could be in the 1st grade. The standard there is pretty much higher than here. I haven’t gotten over with my great regret about choosing that school because it is just a waste of time and money. There are only three private school here in town and we chose Life and Light Learning Center because we heard good feedback from parents. The one that I also like is far from here. It’s near the market and the school area is so small. If only I haven’t been too picky about the accessibility and the small space of that school, Ella could have had better education there. But since I wasn’t the only one who decided that we choose the school where Ella was now so I am not feeling too much guilt. Only half because he shares it with me. I don’t think the teacher could handle a number of over 40 kids alone. What else could I say about the school (the classrooms I mean) were being flooded even it was in a higher place because the roof is falling apart? Then one student was bitten by a dog and snakes are seen by parents in the unkept playground? They will not even have a field trip because MOST of the students are scholars yet the sponsors from abroad will not send budget towards it (or they might send but the funds will be redirected to other projects). For me field trip is important for kindergartens and so Donald and I agreed we will still do it. Ella will have a fieldtrip and it will just be the three of us. :-) Maybe we will bring her to Philippine Eagle or Malagos Garden to see some animals and butterflies. She’s been to Crocodile Park twice and maybe this time we need to bring her somewhere else then have a dip by the beach again. ;-)

Anyway, I spent half of my day staring at the ceiling, trying to gather stamina to do the laundry and Ella joined me to spend the other half sleeping. It was already dark when Donald woke us up to announce that he has downloaded a movie in hte USB (I think the title is “Bolt”) and that he was so happy to discover that our cheapo DVD player could read it. So even it’s the second day of examination tomorrow, Ella is watching it with him and I presume they will review for the exam after. I have to watch it later tonight though because I have not followed the entire story because of some interruptions of going to the bathroom and blogging. :-)

Biting dogs and snakes? Yikes! … I’m glad none of that has happened to Ella!
