And YUMMIER too
…I am talking about our Caramel Popcorn not the one you are thinking about.
This afternoon I made another batch of Caramel Popcorn using the Jolly Time Popcorn that was sent by Mama Ingrid. I could say it is so much better because it pops great! No waste! Unlike the local popcorn that Donald bought in the grocery store here. Many kernels did not pop at all. I also did some adjustments again of making the caramel and it turned out better!!!!
It is crunchier and the caramel is not grainy as the first batch. I still have to see the result if it was baked. Donald like it more and I do too.
I think I will send some to Ella at school tomorrow so the whole class could help us tell if this is just perfect and if we could start selling.
It is so unbelievable that I woke up earlier than the rooster this morning(or have I really slept?) I have no asthma attacks for two nights now but still I hardly slept and would not have a good nap. The same issue with Donald who could not sleep well at night which makes me wonder why. So as early as Ella takes a bathe, I did a quick shower too to be able to go with them to drop her at school and proceed to see the midwife for a prenatal check-up. I have not told Donald about my plan last night because it completely slipped off my mind and I just remember it when I woke up. I decided to do the check-up here in town because I am playing the idea of delivering the baby here in the province. I know it is not what my OB gyne wanted and it’s not what the risk I should be taking but I think I can make it here. Of course I am just playing with the idea, I still have to consult my doctors regarding this with the hopes that they would allow me to do natural birth here. The prenatal check ups are scheduled every Tuesdays and Fridays only but since we are finally going to see my FIL and the whole family this coming Friday, I decided I will do it today.
After dropping Ella at school, we went straight to the Health Center and waited for 30 minutes before I was accommodated because the midwives and nurses are digging in a galloon of ice cream as early as 8:30am. I understand that they still have no sleep and were hungry after delivering three babies since last night until dawn so I waited patiently while Donald did the opposite. (I bet he’s rolling his eyes while sitting on the couch)
Well he was impatient because we should pick up Ella at 9:30 because they will only have a long quiz in Math so they will be dismissed an hour earlier. At 9am my name was called and I went inside the little room. I’ve been there last August when we learned that I am pregnant so I already have a record there and what she did was just a sort of follow up check-up. We were still halfway through it when Donald asked me if he can go ahead of me because it’s almost 9:30 and I sent him off. The midwife and I discussed about my MVP and asthma and that I am carrying low and heavier than the first pregnancy. She did check the baby’s heartbeat and it was fine and the baby is already in the right position ready for the birth.
But then there is nothing to celebrate about it because it is too early for the baby to get low and almost on my pelvic bone. I knew it from the first month that it was very low and that I should be in partial bed rest if not total.
My worry is that we will travel for 6 or more hours to see my FIL and I really can’t sit that long and so I asked Donald if we could take the aircon bus so it will be more comfortable for me to which he agreed. With the aircon bus, I could decline my seat so my weight won’t be completely on my rear. Hopefully my earning from blogging would come before Friday. Crossing my fingers here!
