Christmas is really in the air even in this small town this side of the earth. It’s my favorite time of the year not only because my it’s my birth month but because I feel really happy seeing beautiful lights, hearing carols and watching TV shows that has Christmas theme. It also reminds me of my mother who did all what she can just to make this season merrier for us. She would decorate our little house with ornaments that she dug from the box and has been reused for several years. There would also be a tiny tree on top of the side table which she carefully made. Being resourceful as she is, we never did have a store bought tree but a handmade one out of recycled materials.
Now that I have a family of my own, I wish to make this season as bright as possible for Ella. Last year, while we are still living in the city, I bought a tiny tree with lights and ornaments that’s just right for our cozy room. This year is different since we moved here in the province and lived in the parsonage. As much as I wanted to celebrate the Holiday Season (not Christmas) by decorating the whole house which I wanted just for Ella, I could not do it because we do not want to stumble other members of the church (we are not celebrating Christmas).
But then I had a great idea on how to make this season a merrier one! I am planning to get couple of Poinsettias from 1800flowers.com that I could put as a centerpiece to brighten up the house. This way, I could we could still feel that we are a part of the world and not from the outer space.
