It’s my day!

Today’s my birthday and I wanted to celebrate it “peacefully” and so I already briefed Ella and Donald not to tell anyone in the neighborhood. :-) When the clock ticked 12:01am, Donald and Ella greeted me and in the morning I got messages from my sisters, BIL, cousins and friends. Wish they are here to celebrate with us. We already prepared the food and had a nice dinner last night since I want to spare myself from the stress in cooking and cleaning on my birthday. We just had macaroni, spaghetti and puto cheese.

We don’t usually put food coloring on it but this time I colored it to make it more special. I think I should have spelled my name on the top of it with the cheese like they are doing in cupcakes. :-)

We slept very late but Ella has no problem getting ready for school. I first checked if there’s opportunity up for grab and I was feeling so lucky I got one! :-) I was starting on my post for it when Inang and Tatang came by for a quick visit and I am just glad Ella did not spill the beans. They are in a hurry so I just wrapped for them and after the left, I worked on my blog. I had to write and think fast so I could publish it and grab another one. I was feeling so lucky that I grabbed three again. :-)

Ella has been very excited about this day and asked Donald day ago to go with her at the Central Warehouse to buy me a gift. So after her class, they went straight there and brought this home.

Inside are a gel pen, address book, a purple nail polish and two panties. :-) She picked a pen because she has misplaced mine last night, an address book for me to have a NEW notebook to write on (she thought it’s just a notepad), nail polish because she sees me doing my nails every Saturday and panties because she said I needed bigger ones so the baby won’t get hurt. She also gave me a personalized gift.

It is actually an envelope which she carefully made with her little hands and it has two pictures that she drew inside.

It’s a table with my cake, balloons and some food and the second one is a picture of our house.

I was so happy with her gifts and I kept thanking her but she won’t stop saying “Pasensya ka na My ha…yan lang ang kaya kong bilhin…” (I am sorry Mommy, that are the only things I could afford) As if it’s from her own pocket.

Since I did most of the cooking yesterday, I had bad backache today. What a good way to celebrate birthday. But since it is my day, I got pampered by Donald with back massage just on my left scapula where my spine bends. I will still have to do some packing for our long travel tomorrow. I’ll be gone for several days and I wish I could find internet cafe near the farm so I could still grab some opportunities and update this blog. I’ll see you when I see you!
